The bentonite was found to be a good receptive to the adsorption of Cd under specific laboratory conditions. The sorption capacity for Cd onto bentonite was investigated through the variation in pH and initial Cd2+ concentration. The sorption efficiency onto bentonite was examined as a function of pH, initial ion concentration, equilibrium reaction time and solid mass/ liquid volume ratio. The maximum sorption (%) of Cd from solutions were determined when solid to liquid ratio is 2 gm of bentonite versus 50 ml solution, the equilibrium reaction time is 50 minute at pH ranges from 5-7. The sorpti

The biodegradability of the films has been investigated by determination the weight loss of the tested films. It was noticed that the films containing corn starch were highly biodegraded under above influences. The weight loss of the tested films decreased with increasing PVA content and increased with immersion time in enzymatic solution and water and soil bu

This car is able to pass through predefined path an around the detected obstacles, and then come back to the intended path. The IR sensor detects the existence of the obstacle through an assumed range of detection, while the visual sensor (camera) feeds back an image including the path that contains an obstacle, which can be useful for determining the obstacle's length, speed, and direction. According to such information, the controller creates transient away point along the longitudinal axis of the obstacle which is the same as the transverse axis of the simulator path at an assumed distance from the

The goal of this paper is to study dynamic behavior of a sporadic model (prey-predator). All fixed points of the model are found. We set the conditions that required to investigate the local stability of all fixed points. The model is extended to an optimal control model. The Pontryagin's maximum principle is used to achieve the optimal solutions. Finally, numerical simulations have been applied to confirm the theoretical results.
This study is concerned with the unsteady flow of non-Newtonian, viscous, incompressible fluid in a curved pipe with rectangular cross-section, under the action of pressure gradient. An orthogonal coordinate system has been used to describe the fluid motion and it is found that the motion equations are controlled by three parameters namely; Dean number, non-Newtonian parameter and frequency parameter. Solution for the secondary flow and the axial velocity are droved as perturbation over straight pipe. Firstly the expansion was in terms of Dean number and secondly in terms of frequency parameter. Perturbation equations are solved by using variation method namely, Galerkin's method, after eliminating the dependency on time. The solutions h

A newly flow injection-turbidimetric method characterized by it is speed and sensitivity has been developed for the determination of Amiloride in pure and pharmaceutical preparations. It is based on the formation of yellowish white precipitate for the Amiloride-phosphomolybidic acid ion pair in aqueous medium. Turbidity was measured by Ayah 6Sx1-T-1D solar cell CFI analyser via the attenuation of incident light from the surfaces precipitated particles at 0-180. The Chemical and physical parameters were investigated. Linear dynamic range for the attenuation of incident light versus Amiloride concentration was of 0.005-10 mmol.L-1, with the correlation coefficient (r) of 0.9986 , while the percentage linearity (r2%) was 99.71%. Show MoreYoshida and Adachi’s diploid genetic algorithm- the so-called pseudo-Meiosis genetic Algorithm (psM GA)- was focused on preserving population diversity and adapting the population quickly to problem changes. The large population diversity provided by psM GA with good adaptation to the problem changes were effective and sufficient to tackle non-stationary traveling salesman problem. They did not apply this genetic algorithm to other problem domains, like bit-coding problems. Hence, in this paper we revisit the psM GA, apply it on bit-coding problems so as to see the effect and search power of this genetic search algorithm on this problem domain.
In this paper, plasma will be generated in a laboratory as a simulation of what happens to spacecraft when they enter the atmosphere of Earth. Parameters of plasma generation were determined in terms of pressures of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 mbar and generation energy 200 W. The parameters of the generated plasma were calculated using the optical emission spectroscopy two intensity ratio method, and the electron temperature, electron density, Debye length, and plasma frequency were calculated. Compare the results with the actual results, electron temperatures were 2.26–1.71 eV and plasma frequency 8.09 x1011-6.7x1011 at 0.1-0.5 mbar pressure.

Light isotopes, especially closed shell nuclei, have significance in thermonuclear reactions of the Carbon-Nitrogen-Oxygen (CNO) cycle in stars. In this research, 12C(p, γ) 13N and 14N(p, γ) 15O reactions have been calculated by means of Matlab codes to find the reaction rate across a temperature range of 0.006 to 10 GK using non-resonant parts, as well as the astrophysical S- factor S(E) at low energies. It was concluded that the high binding energy of 12C and 14N nuclei make the reaction less probable thus enabling other competitive processes to develop, which enhances the probability of other competitive proton reactions in the CNO cycle.
The current study was designed for using banana peels to remove zinc, chromium and nickel from industrial waste-water. Three forms of these peels (fresh, dried small pieces and powder) were tested under some environmental factors such as pH, temperature and contact time. Current data show that banana peels are capable of removing zinc, chromium and nickel ions at significant capacity. Furthermore, the powder of banana peels had highest capability in removing all zinc, chromium and nickel ions followed by fresh peels whilst dried peels had the lowest bioremoving capacity again for all metals under test. The highest capacity was for chromium then nickel and finally zinc. All these data were significantly (LSD peel forms = 2.761 mg/l, LSD m

Information retrieval applications require speed, consistency, accuracy and ease of use in retrieving relevant texts to satisfy user queries. This paper presents an automatic tool to retrieve documents based on Compact Genetic Algorithm (cGA). The similarity between queries and documents is computed with cosine coefficient, dice's coefficient, and Jaccard coefficient that are used as the fitness functions. Experimental results show that cGA can be successfully applied to information retrieval.

Calculation of cross section forρmeson production in real photon proton interactions has been carried out in terms of Regge theory. The amplitude of is used for calculating the coupling of the exchanged particle at the photon - vector meson vertex. We only need to replace the coupling of the pion to quarks by the coupling of the exchanged particle to quarks. This coupling has been fixed by the experimental data. A comparison of the model with data shows an excellent agreement.
