Effect of solvents on performance of Alq3/ZnO solar cells: A theoretical approach
...Show More Authors

Successfully, theoretical equations were established to study the effect of solvent polarities on the electron current density, fill factor and efficiencies of Tris (8-hydroxy) quinoline aluminum (Alq3)/ ZnO solar cells. Three different solvents studied in this theoretical works, namely 1-propanol, ethanol and acetonitrile. The quantum model of transition energy in donor–acceptor system was used to derive a current formula. After that, it has been used to calculate the fill factor and the efficiency of the solar cell. The calculations indicated that the efficiency of the solar cell is influenced by the polarity of solvents. The best performance was for the solar cell based on acetonitrile as a solvent with electron current density of (5.078-12.331) mA/cm2 between (1-6) V. In addition, the highest efficiency calculated for the (Alq3)/ ZnO solar cell was 2.593% which corresponds to the highest current density. However, the calculated fill-factor values were significantly unchanged with the changing of the current density. Interestingly, the measured values are in a good agreement with previously reported experimental values. ©2023 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd. Performance of piled raft foundations under the effect of dewatering nearby an open pit
...Show More Authors
Abstract
The dewatering arrangement is required in execution works and it needs more attention due to the additional vertical settlement produced on the adjacent pile foundations. Raft foundations are being increasingly utilized for construction in cases of subsoil conditions with a high water table. Also, soil displacements in adjacent un-braced deep open pit may be a reason for high damages to the close buildings and foundations systems. The aim of this study is to examine the behaviour of piled raft foundations considering different pile locations under the effect of line drain and stage drilling of nearby open foundation pit. The line drain was used as dewatering process through the soil i
... Show More

Optimizing Gas Lift for Improved Oil Recovery in a Middle East Field: A Genetic Algorithm Approach
...Show More Authors

This paper presents a study of the application of gas lift (GL) to improve oil production in a Middle East field. The field has been experiencing a rapid decline in production due to a drop in reservoir pressure. GL is a widely used artificial lift technique that can be used to increase oil production by reducing the hydrostatic pressure in the wellbore. The study used a full field model to simulate the effects of GL on production. The model was run under different production scenarios, including different water cut and reservoir pressure values. The results showed that GL can significantly increase oil production under all scenarios. The study also found that most wells in the field will soon be closed due to high water cuts. Howev

Theoretical Investigations of Vibrational – Rotational Energy of some Hydrogen Halide Molecules
...Show More Authors

A theoretical study by using computer model is presented to study the energy characteristics of the vibrational – rotational levels as a function of the vibrational and rotational quantum number, respectively. The calculations were based on the basis of a multilevel model taking into account the non-equilibrium population of the rotational levels. The computational investigation has been performed to examine the vibrational-rotational characteristics of some hydrogen halides chemical laser molecules. This program takes into account the various molecules of chemical lasers such as, Hydrogen Fluoride (HF), Deuterium Fluoride (DF), Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), and Deuterium Chloride (DCl). The practical difficulties associated with this

Extracting Four Solar Model Electrical Parameters of Mono-Crystalline Silicon (mc-Si) and Thin Film (CIGS) Solar Modules using Different Methods
...Show More Authors

Experimental measurements were done for characterizing current-voltage and power-voltage of two types of photovoltaic (PV) solar modules; monocrystalline silicon (mc-Si) and copper indium gallium di-selenide (CIGS). The conversion efficiency depends on many factors, such as irradiation and temperature. The assembling measures as a rule cause contrast in electrical boundaries, even in cells of a similar kind. Additionally, if the misfortunes because of cell associations in a module are considered, it is hard to track down two indistinguishable photovoltaic modules. This way, just the I-V, and P-V bends' trial estimation permit knowing the electrical boundaries of a photovoltaic gadget with accuracy. This measure

Optimization of Fracture Parameters for Hydraulic Fractured Horizontal Well in a Heterogeneous Tight Reservoir: An Equivalent Homogeneous Modelling Approach

Abstract
Building numerical reservoir simulation model with a view to model actual case requires enormous amount of data and information. Such modeling and simulation processes normally require lengthy time and different sets of field data and experimental tests that are usually very expensive. In addition, the availability, quality and accessibility of all necessary data are very limited, especially for the green field. The degree of complexities of such modelling increases significantly especially in the case of heterogeneous nature typically inherited in unconventional reservoirs. In this perspective, this study focuses on exploring the possibility of simplifying the numerical simulation pr
... Show More
