A study of taxonomic quality of soil algae was conducted with some environmental variables in three sites of local gardens (Kadhimiya, Adhamiya and Dora) within the governorate of Baghdad for the period from October 2016 to March 2017. The study identified 28 species belonging to 16 species in which the predominance of blue green algae (18 species) Followed by Bacillarophyta algae (7 species) and three types of Chlorophyta. From different perspectives, such problems are either related to ‘language’ or to ‘cognition’. This binary view is an indication to the implicit and interchangeable relationship between language and cognition. Benthic invertebrates diversity on the Al-Dalmage the Lake in the middle of Iraq, in addition to the some chemical properties was the aim of the present study, for a period from January to the December 2013. Six stations of the lake were chosen for monthly samples collection. The result revealed that the water temperature ranged from (9-34) ◦C. According to the values of salinity (1.5-14.6) ‰ the lake was classified as Brackish, while the pH values were neutral tends to near alkaline and ranged from (7.2- 9). The study showed that the lake were well oxygenated due to the dissolved oxygen values which ranged from 7-12 mg/l. The lake considered as very hard according to the total hardness values which range from (825-6980) CaCo3 mg/l.

Gypsiferous soil deposits (Gypcrete) are weakly consolidate earthy mixture of secondary gypsum, sand and clay. It is formed in arid and semi- arid area with annual precipitation rainfall less than 400mm. These sediments occur in surface and subsurface in region of little rainfall and rapid evaporation. This research deals with the study of gypcrete in Alexandria to improve the mineralogical and geochemical properties of the gypcrete. The gypcrete soil is used as raw material to produce the plaster for building purposes. Three samples of gypcrete were chemically and geochemically analyzed.
