Gut dysbiosis and immunological profile in endometriosis
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Ectopic growth of normal cells or debris originating from endometrium, the inner layer of female reproductive tube leads to endometriosis. The main symptoms are dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, and sometimes chronic pelvic pain. Unfortunately, it has no cure or treatment, only symptoms relief medication or surgical removal. Endometriosis causes estrogen imbalance leading to intestinal bacterial estrobolome dysregulation and subsequent change in immune response. Our study aims to investigate the linkage between gut dysbiosis and immunological response in endometriotic mice. Balb/c mice were ovariectomized (OVX) 7 days before intraperitoneal transplantation of 2mm2 endometrial tissue from OVX donors to OVX- or intact ovary recipients. Colonic content was collected 2 weeks post transplantation for 16s rRNA pyrosequencing. Peritoneal exudate was collected and stained to determine the phenotype of infiltrating cells by flow cytometry. Results revealed a significant increase in the number of exudate cells, natural killer (NK) cells and myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) in endometriotic mice. Phylogenetic taxonomy showed an increase in the biomass of the bacteria in endometriotic OVX mice in comparison with endometriotic nonovariectomized mice. However, the abundance of Phylum Tenericutes, Order Clostridiales, Dehalobacterium sp. and Anaeroplasma sp. were decreased. Collectively, endometriosis changed estrogen metabolism and gut microbiota which resulted in the immune modulation. Seven leafhoppers (Cicadeilidae). and one plantboppei (Delpbacidae), Homoptera were identified from a one year operated light trap at the College of Agiculture farm in Abu¬Ghraib. The leafhoppers were: Balclutha hortensis Lind.; B. rufaofasciata Merine.; psammctettix alien us Dahlbem.; P. striatus L.; Extianus capicola.; Neoaliturus haematoceps H. R.; and Orozius albicnctus Dist. The planthopper was Sogatella vibix Haupt. one year records of their populations, indicated that B. rufofasciata occured during the fall from October 10 until December 18; E. capicola from October 24 until November 21 and again in the summer from March to October. The others occured only during the summer, from the end of March and early April until Mid-Septemb

Correlation between oxidative stress and clopidogrel drug in Iraqi patients with coronary artery disease
...Show More Authors

Background: Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is one of the largest causes of mortality worldwide. Clopidogrel, antiplatelet drug, has been widely used for management of CAD. The current study aimed to investigate the effect of clopidogrel on the oxidative stress in CAD patients. Methods: One hundred CAD patients, who were followed-up for 5 days after receiving clopidogrel, and 50 healthy volunteers were included in this study. Parameters include catalase (CAT), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), total oxidant capacity (TOC), total protein, albumin, and globulins were determined before and after treatment with clopidogrel. Results: CAT, TAC, and Tp were significantly decreased (P<0.0001) in CAD patients compared to healthy control and

SIMULATION MODEL FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT GEOREFERENCING TECHNIQUES IN ANALYTICAL PHOTOGRAMMETRY
...Show More Authors

This paper compares between the direct and indirect georeferencing techniques in Photogrammetry bases on a simulation model. A flight plan is designed which consists of three strips with nine overlapped images for each strip by a (Canon 500D) digital camera with a resolution of 15 Mega Pixels.

The triangulation computations are carried out by using (ERDAS LPS) software, and the direct measurements are taken directly on the simulated model to substitute using GPS/INS in real case. Two computational tests have been implemented to evaluate the positional accuracy for the whole model and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) relating to (30) check points show that th

Aligning Archwires in Orthodontics: Exploring the Past, Present, and Future - A Comprehensive Narrative Review
...Show More Authors

Orthodontic wires facilitate the required dental adjustments in the context of orthodontic therapy. The archwire has played a crucial role in orthodontic treatment, and the increasing emphasis on aesthetic preferences from patients, as well as the development of composite and ceramic brackets, have prompted investigations into aesthetic archwires that complement these brackets. Orthodontic wires are produced using a diverse range of materials. The utilisation of all available wire types can improve patient comfort, decrease chairside time, and shorten the overall duration of treatment. The individual clinician must possess comprehensive knowledge and comprehension of the various requirements and alternatives throughout the therapeut

Evaluation of Convective Heat Transfer and Natural Circulation in an Evacuated Tube Solar Collector
...Show More Authors

The evacuated tube solar collector ETC is studied intensively and extensively by experimental and
theoretical works, in order to investigate its performance and enhancement of heat transfer, for Baghdad climate
from April 2011 till the end of March 2012. Experimental work is carried out on a well instrumented collector
consists of 16 evacuated tubes of aspect ratio 38.6 and thermally insulated tank of volume 112L. The relation
between convective heat transfer and natural circulation inside the tube is estimated, collector efficiency, effect of
tube tilt angles, incidence angle modifier, The solar heating system is investigated under different loads pattern (i.e
closed and open flow) to evaluate the heat loss coefficient

NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF STATIC AND DYNAMIC STRESSES IN SPUR GEAR MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL
...Show More Authors

In this current work, Purpose; to clearly the fundamental idea for constructing a design and
investigation of spur gear made of composite material its comes from the combination of (high
speeds, low noise, oil-les running, light weight, high strength, and more load capability)
encountered in modern engineering applications of the gear drives, when the usual metallic gear
cannot too overwhelming these combinations.
An analyzing of stresses and deformation under static and dynamic loading for spur gear tooth
by finite element method with isoparametric eight-nodded in total of 200 brick element with 340
nods in three degree of freedom per node was selected for this analysis. This is responsible for the

The mean age of AS patients was (35.0 ± 9.8) years. When the patients and control subjects were divided into different age groups (>40, 30-40, <30 years), the differences were not significantin terms of disease prevalence. The results also showed that the percentage of male patients is higher than that of females. There was no significant difference (P?0.05) between patients and controls in the distribution of males and females. Most of the patients had the disease for a period of 5 years or higher, with a disease severity of ? 2.1 and functional disability degree of I, II. Social graphic design is the design that realizes the role and responsibility of the designer in society, and the use of graphic design in bringing about social change, especially as it is a professional contribution that plays an important role in the behavioral development of societies, and through the above, the researcher found a logical justification for his research problem, which is summarized by the following question: (What is the concept of Social Graphic Design and its implications in the fight against drug abuse)
While the two objectives of the research were identified in defining the social graphic design and its effect on combating drug abuse, and the theoretical framework was divided into two topics, the first study dea
