The present study was performed to evaluate the level of some risk factors (biochemical and immunological) in hypothyroid Iraqi patients considering the different thyroid functional states (hypothyroidism and subclinical hypothyroidism). The study includes 82 patients clinically diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Three study groups have been investigated: (47 clinical hypothyroid patients, 12 subclinical hypothyroid patients 23 healthy individuals) of different ages. This study, show that the proportion of females (83.3 %), (87.2%) in subclinical and clinical hypothyroidisim respectively higher than the proportion of males (16.7%),(12.8%) in subclinical and clinical hypothyrodism respectively of the total patients. The majority of subclinical hypothyroidism patients were found to be obese (61.7%) followed by normal weight class (21.3%).While in the case of clinical hypothyroidism the majority of patients are from the class of normal weight (66.7%) followed by over weight class (33.3%). The statistical study showed no significant differences in the TSH level between the weight categories among each of the studied groups, but the weight between 25-29.9 kg/m2 showed a highly significant increase and a significant increase in the level of TSH in the clinical and subclinical cases in comparison to its level in the healthy group. No significant differences were found in the level of HDL cholesterol (Good cholesterol) and triglyceride among the patient,s groups in comparison with its level of the control LDL cholesterol (Bad cholesterol) level increased in the subclinical and the clinical hypothyroid patients in comparison with its level in the healthy group, statistical analysis showed no significant differences in LDL–C. level between the subclinical and healthy groups. In contrast, there is a significant difference in LDL–C. level between clinical and healthy groups. The same relationships were noticed in the total chol. level and atherogenic agent.(nonsignificant increase in the subclinical hypothyroid patients and a significant increase in the clinical cases in comparison with its level in the healthy persons). No significant differences were found in the level of IL12 and IL-33 between the studied groups. Serum IL-33 level was lower in subclinical hypothyroid patients in comparison to its level in the other groups. In conclusion, as long as cholesterol and TSH continue high, the patients become more susceptible to coronary heart disease as proved through calculating atherogenic agent in each group. According to the positive relationship between thyroid hormones and IL-12, the latter may act as immunomodulating agents. The decrease of IL-33 in subclinical hypothyroid group suggests humeral immunological failure which may need more studies and evaluating for the other related cytokines.
The purpose of this paper is to identifying the relationship between some visual functions and the level of achievement of air rifle shooting among young Iraqi female, and identifying the relationship between some functional variables of the respiratory and nervous systems at the level of achievement of air rifle shooting among young Iraqi female. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the correlative relationships style for its suitability and the research problem. The researchers determined the research community by the intentional method represented by (10) young female shooters who represent the national team with air rifle shooting effectiveness, and who represent (100%) of the research community. One of the most important re

Aggressive periodontitis is rare which in most cases manifest themselves clinically during youth. It characterized by rapid rate of disease progression .Pro-inflammatory chemokines organized inflammatory responses. Granulocyte chemotactic protein 2 is involved in neutrophil gathering and movement. The purpose of the study is to detect serum of Granulocyte Chemotactic Protein 2 and correlate to periodontal condition in patients with chronic periodontitis, Aggressive periodontitis and Healthy Control subjects and measurement the count of neutrophils for the studied groups. The results showed that Serum level of IL-1? was significantly increased in AD patients (3.79 ± 0.26 pg/ml) as compared with DS patients (2.78 ± 0.39 pg/ml) or controls (2.78 ± 0.22 pg/ml), while no significant difference was observed between AD and VD (3.25 ± 0.20 pg/ml) patients or between VD patients, DS patients and controls. The serum level of IL-10 was approximated in VD and DS patients and controls (3.39 ± 0.24, 2.77 ± 0.39 and 3.41 ± 0.35 pg/ml, respectively), but was significantly (P ? 0.05) increased in AD patients (5.73 ± 0.55 pg/ml

The study aimed to compare lipid profiles and liver enzyme levels in individuals who had recovered from Covid-19 infection. To achieve the study objectives, liver Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), Random Blood Sugar (RBS) and Lipid profile which include cholesterol, High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL), Triglycerides (T.G), Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), and Very low-density Lipoprotein (VLDL) were determined.
One hundred twenty serum samples were obtained, of which fifty samples were utilized as the control healthy persons (not affected by COVID) and seventy samples came f

In Iraq, colon and rectal cancer (CRC) is the 6th most common malignancy in males and the 5th in females. This cancer is sluggish in growth, which gives a window of opportunity to screen for both precursor lesions and early cancer. The Cluster of Differentiation 47 (CD47) protein is a type of transmembrane glycoproteins found on nearly all human cells, including non-hematopoietic and hematopoietic cells. CD47 promotes CRC growth by triggering angiogenesis and apoptosis of tumor cell. Objectives: To evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of (CD47) in various colorectal samples from Iraqi patients

Thesediverse clinical samples were collected over a three-month period, from October 2023 to December 2023, fromseveral hospitals in Baghdad, including Fatima Al-Zahraa Hospital, Al-Sader Hospital, Ibn Al-Balady Hospital, and Al-Imam Ali Hospital. The clinical samples primarily included urine from patients with urinary tractinfections (UTIs). All isolates were cultured on nutrient agar, MacConkey agar, and blood agar, and theiridentities were confirmed through biochemical testing and the Vitek 2 compact system. Based on phenotypicvirulence factors, the S. marcescens isolates showed varying positive patterns: 32 out of 35 (91.42%) forprotease

The treatment guidelines recommend theuse of a second controller drug in addition to medium doses of inhaled corticosteroids (ICSs) rather than the use of high doses ICS alone in the treatment of moderate-severe persistent asthma. This study was conducted to compare the clinical efficacy and safety of three treatment regimens in Iraqi patients with moderate-severe persistent asthma. The study included three groups; each group included 15 patients. Patients were administered beclomethasone inhaler alone 1500-2000 μg/day, beclomethasone inhaler 750-1000 μg/day plus oral controlled release aminophylline tablets 450 mg/day or

Since the 1930s, cinema has explored sexual transformation. These films have defended homosexuals, explored how homosexuality causes AIDS, and discussed transgenderism for decades. As widely recognised, animated films for adults and children worldwide have included this trend. This study will demonstrate how hormone imbalance affects sexual function. This study, "Promoting Physiological Transformations in Cinema," comprises four chapters: The first chapter (methodological framework) covers the study problem, "What are the foundations and necessities of p
