In this study, high-performance solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) with different compositions were investigated for next-generation lithium-based energy storage and flexible electronics technology applications. The SPE films were prepared by the solution casting method using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and lithium sulfate (Li2SO4 ). The obtained films were flexible and transparent, hence suitable for structural, optical, electrical, and thermal characterizations. The XRD pattern of HPMC indicated a broad peak at 2 theta approximate to 20 degrees, while the films HPMC/PEG- Li2SO4 showed sharp peaks assigned to the crystalline nature of Li2SO4 . Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectra confirmed O-H vibrations at 3484 cm(- 1) and sulfate (SO42-) bands near 1056 cm(- 1). UV-Vis analysis demonstrated that the strong absorption peak at 243 nm for HPMC/PEG and HPMC/PEG-10 wt.% Li2SO4 was accompanied by additional peaks at 230, 340, and 380 nm for HPMC/PEG-20 wt.% Li2SO4 . The optical band gap decreased from 5.5 eV for pure HPMC to 2.1, 1.8, and 1.5 eV with addition of PEG and Li2SO4 . AC conductivity improved with increasing frequency, showing an enhanced ionic conductivity for the 10 and 20 wt.% Li2SO4 compositions. TGA proved thermal stability up to 330 degrees C while DSC showed T-g shifting to lower temperatures upon the addition of Li2SO4 .
Polymer electrolyte films composed of PVP and PVP/glycerin with varying concentrations of CuCl2 (10, 20, and 30 wt.%) were synthesized using the solution casting method. The synthesized electrolyte films were characterized using FTIR, XRD, UV-Vis, DSC, and TGA techniques. FTIR spectroscopy revealed an O-H stretching vibration of PVP around 3300 cm(-1), which experienced broadening and a reduction in intensity upon the introduction of glycerin and CuCl2. XRD analysis displayed a characteristic peak at 2 theta similar to 20 degrees, with the peak shifting towards higher angles and a slight decrease in intensity as the CuCl2 concentration increased, indicating a disruption of the crystalline structure of the host matrix. UV-Vis analysis reveal

Show MoreGel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) have attracted considerable attention for rechargeable battery applications because of their high ionic conductivity, mechanical flexibility, and enhanced safety. In the present work, copper-ion-conducting PVA/HPMC gel polymer electrolytes were successfully prepared by the solution casting method using a 50:50 PVA/HPMC blend. Different CuSO₄ concentrations (10, 20, and 30 wt%) were incorporated into the polymer matrix, followed by the addition of 3 mL PANI/[BMIM][BF₄] polyionic liquid. The prepared electrolytes were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Show MoreThe structural, optical and electrical properties of ZnS films prepared by vacuum evaporation technique on glass substrate at room temperature and treated at different annealing temperatures (323, 373, 423)K of thickness (0.5)µm have been studied. The structure of these films is determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The X-ray diffraction studies show that the structure is polycrystalline with cubic structure, and there are strong peaks at the direction (111). The optical properties investigated which include the absorbance and transmittance spectra, energy band gab, absorption coefficient, and other optical constants. The results showed that films have direct optical transition. The optical band gab was found to be in the range t

The films were fabricated using spin coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements displayed only one peak at 2θ =4.5o corresponding to (001) direction which has dhkl larger than for standard CuPcTs. The dhkl increase then decrease with increasing annealing temperature and

Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) have drawn a lot of interest due to their special qualities, which include high conductivity that is comparable to liquid electrolytes, excellent mechanical stability, and high flexibility. Using the solution casting approach, we have synthesized copper ion conducting gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) films made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the polymer host. An ionic salt, copper sulphate (CuSO 4 ), and a plasticizing solvent, PANI/ [BMIM] [BF 4 ] polyionic liquid, were employed. The structural, electrical, and electrochemical properties of the GPE films were carefully examined. The significant XRD crystalline peak decreased and disappeared upon the addition of PANI/[BMIM] [BF 4 ] polyionic liquid, suggesting th

Ag2Cu2O4 powders have polycrystalline structure, and the Ag2Cu2O4 phase was appear as low intensity peak at 35.57o which correspond the reflection from (110) plane. Scan electron microscopy images of Ag2Cu2O4 powder has been showed agglomerate of oxide particles with platelets shape. The structure of thin films has been improved with annealing temperature. Atomic Force micrographs of Ag2Cu2O4 films showed uniform, homogenous films and the shape of grains was almost spherical and larger grain size of 97.85 nm has o
