The revolution in technology made students plagiarize others’ work and submit it as their own. The aim of this study is to find the effectiveness of teaching paraphrasing strategies in reducing students’ plagiarism in university of Baghdad. The Sample of the study is randomly chosen out of eighty, fourth year college students. The materials were taught within eight weeks of instruction about paraphrasing strategies. Results represent that treating the experimental group with paraphrasing strategies have resulted in expanding the range of avoiding plagiarism in the post-test. The thesis discusses the concept of the new international regionalism that emerged after the growing effects and repercussions of globalization with its economic, political and security dimensions after the end of the Cold War and the crystallization of a different international system dominated by the United States of America, so that the major countries and actors in the international system realize the danger of globalization and move towards adopting regional arrangements to contain the negative effects of globalization. The Asia-Pacific model was chosen as a model for the study.

The present study aims at investigating the effect of “FLOW” strategy is a creative thinking strategy on developing EFL learners' writing achievements. The sample of the study was ninety Iraqi college students. Their performance was assessed on the pre and post achievement test in both experimental group 45 taught by “FLOW” strategy and control 45 taught traditionally. A test was designed and exposed to jury of experts for ascertaining its validity. The reliability coefficient of the test was 0.89 by using Cronbach Alpha Formula.
