In this paper, the air pollutants concentrations measurements such as Total
Suspended Particles(TSP), Carbon Monoxides(CO),Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and
meteorological parameters including temperature (T), relative humidity (RH) and
wind speed & direction were conducted in Baghdad city by several stations
measuring numbered (22) stations located in different regions, and were classified
into (industrial, commercial and residential) stations. The results show that the
concentrations of pollutants (TSP, CO, and CO2) have exceeded the air quality
standards set by World Health Organization (WHO) and Iraqi limitation in the

  Two species of monogenetic trematodes of the genus Dactylogyrus were recorded in the present paper for the first time in Iraq from two freshwater fishes from Diyala river, Diyala province. The first species,  D. bocageii Alvarez Pellitero, Vicente et Gonzalez Lanza, 1981 was recorded from gills of Aspius vorax, the second species, D. lenkorani Mikailov, 1967 was recorded from gills of Barbus sharpeyi. A series of tests were conducted to determine the susceptibility of eggs and neonates of the Rice Weevil Sitophilus oryzae L. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), exposed to the insect growth regulator, Pyriproxyfen, on filter paper and on rough rice. In the first test, the hatch rate of eggs exposed on filter paper treated with Pyriproxyfen at the label rate of 0.003 mg [AI] /cm2 when used as a surface treatment in structures was 52.0 ± 7.3% compared to 93.0 ± 3.3% on untreated controls.
