In the present work, Uranium (²³⁸U), Thorium (²³²Th) and Potassium (⁴⁰K) specific activity concentration in (Bq/kg) was measured in five different types for wheat flours that are available in the Iraqi markets. The gamma spectrometry method with an NaI (Tl) detector has been used for radiometric measurements. In this study, concentrations of radon and uranium were measured for twenty six samples of soil. The radon concentrations in soil samples measured by registrant alpha-emitting radon (²²²Rn) by using CR-39 track detector. The uranium concentrations in soil samples measured by using registrar fission fragments tracks in CR-39 track detector that caused by the bombardment of U with thermal neutrons from ²⁴¹ Am-Be neutron source that has flux of 5 ×10³n cm^-2 s^-1.

curettage. Discitis is generally due to blood borne bacterial
invasion of the disc from adjacent end-plate via
communicating vessels. Infective discitis remains an
uncommon, but potentially serious cause for back pain.
Delayed diagnosis can occur and a high index of suspicion
may occur.
Methods: The study included 30 patients suffering from
localized low back pain with limitation of movement.

The radon gas concentration in environmental samples soil and water of selected regions in Al-Najaf governorate was measured by using alpha-emitters registrations which are emitted form radon gas in (CR-39) nuclear track detector.
