The anatomic characteristics of the leaves of 22 taxa of Stachys L. representing seven of the currently recognized sections distributed in northern Iraq, were examined. The study did not found any variations in the characteristics of the stomata system of the leaves.Therewere variations with a good taxonomic value in other anatomic characteristics.Thevariations in characters of the mesophyll tissue in S.kurdica var.brevidens Bom ex Bhattacharjeewas bifacial but in S.kurdica var.kurdica Boiss. & Hohen.was unifacial .The study also found that the taxa S.benthamiana Bioss., S.lanigera (Bornm.) The effect of insecticide lamda cyhalothrin on Allium cepa L.root meristem were studied cytogenetically .Using three concentrations of the insecticide 5%, 7.5%, 10% at 6,12,24hours treatments . The insecticide significantly reduced the mitotic index at all concentrations. Moreover showed its ability to induced C – metaphase in 10% .The effects were also caused chromosome aberration like stickness in anaphase, telophase, binucleated cells, Micronuclei formation. These alternations indicating that this insecticide was effective in producing disturbance of spindle fibers.

Forty one isolates of genus Proteus were collected from 140 clinical specimens such as urine, stool, wound, burn, and ear swabs from patients of both sex. These isolates were identified to three Proteus spp. P. mirabilis, P. vulgaris and P. penneri .The ability of these bacteria to produce L-asparaginase II by using semi quantitative and quantitative methods was determined. P. vulgaris Pv.U.92 was distinguished for high level of L-asparaginase II production with specific activity 1.97 U/mg. Proteinases (E.C.3.4.21) family are widely distributed in the nature; it was present in animals tissues , plants and microbial cell . Protease was purified from Zahdi seed (Phoenix dactylifera L.) by several steps included ammonium sulphite ppt (75%) saturation and dialyzed against the 80mM sodium phosphate buffer at pH 7.5 . The enzyme specific activity was 407.62 unit/mg protein. The obtained extract was purified by DEAE-Cellulose column followed by gel filtration through Sephacyl S-200 column .The enzyme specific activity ,yield and purification fold were 1873.49 unit/mg protein, 22.99 and 58.42% respectively. effect on experimental hyadatidosis on hydatid cyst protoscoleces infectivity in vivo.
Methodology: Four groups of white male /ه/mice were experimentally infected with four concentrations of (1-HP)
with challenge dose of 2000 protoscoleces /1 ml with negative (9.8.5) and positive (P.H.A) control groups.
Results: It has been found that the higher concentrations (75,100) 1101/111 of the (1-HP) causes significant
