The Optimum Conditions for Pleurotin Production by Pleurotus spp. Local Isolates

The study includ selection of six species of the fungi related to genus Pleurotus were evaluated for their ability to produce of Pleurotin, one of them, Pleurotus ostreatus (P.11) was isolated and identified in the present study. Pleurotin was detected by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The maximum absorption of Pleurotin was 1.6 nm at 250 nm. Pleurotin was purified with two methods using chloroform and ethyl acetate, the results showed the ethyl acetate was more efficient in pleurotin production resulting in 14.6 μg/ml compared to 9.8 μg/ml with chloroform. The local isolate, P. osteratus (P.11) showed significant high Pleurotin production (14.6 μg/ml) when was grown on the modified

Speaking Truth to Power: Core Principles for Advancing International Journalism Education

A confluence of forces has brought journalism and journalism education to a precipice. The rise of fascism, the advance of digital technology, and the erosion of the economic foundation of news media are disrupting journalism and mass communication (JMC) around the world. Combined with the increasingly globalized nature of journalism and media, these forces are posing extraordinary challenges to and opportunities for journalism and media education. This essay outlines 10 core principles to guide and reinvigorate international JMC education. We offer a concluding principle for JMC education as a foundation for the general education of college students.

Improvement of Nonlinear Optical Properties for Mixture Laser Dyes Doped PMMA

The spectral characteristics and the nonlinear optical properties of the mixed donor (C-480) acceptor (Rh-6G) have been determined. The spectral characteristics are studied by recording their absorption and fluorescence spectra. The nonlinear optical properties were measured by z-scan technique, using Q-switched Nd: YAG laser with 1064 nm wavelength. The results showed that the optimum concentration of acceptor is responsible for increasing the absorption and the emission bandwidth of donor to full range and to 242 nm respectively by the energy transfer process, also the efficiency of the process was increased by increasing the donor and acceptor concentration. The obtained nonlinear properties results of the mixture C-480/ Rh-6G showed

Comparison of Various Gradient Types for Biological Image with Morphological Operations

Biological image edge detection preserving the important structural properties in an image. Detecting accurate edges are very important for analyzing the basic properties associated with a biological image. Gradient operator plays very important role in edge detection. In this paper the images had been using are color biological images taken from microbiology laboratory at the biological department college of science Al-MustansiriyhUniversity and the effect of gradient operation have applied on around 10 different biological color images but view only two. In our proposed approach comparative of various gradient of biological image include (gradient of image, gradient of image using first order derivative edge detection (Soble,Prewitt,Ro

Directed by Treatment for single-place events in the cinematographic medium

The cinematographer mediates through the means of cinema and television a set of elements complementing each other in the light of developments in various sciences, culture and arts for the purpose of conveying the meaning to the recipient and achieve aesthetic taste. Despite the diversity of cinematographic media with its multiple forms, The researcher started from the principle of definition and knowledge of a technical phenomenon that emerged in the cinematographic medium through the treatment of dramatic events through the solutions of the exit line depends on the narrative of events in one place contributes to attract Mam spectator since this interesting phenomenon in the mediator, there .van question arises the adoption of that vis

The Temperature Profile for The Innovative Design of the Perforated Fin

The development of the perforated fin had proposed in many studies to enhance the heat transfer from electronic pieces. This paper presents a novel derivative method to find the temperature distribution of the new design (inclined perforated) of the pin fin. Perforated with rectangular section and different angles of inclination was considered. Signum Function is used for modeling the variable heat transfer area. Set of parameters to handle the conduction and convection area were calculated. Degenerate Hypergeometric Equation (DHE) was used for modeling the Complex energy differential equation and then solved by Kummer’s series. In the validation process, Ansys 16.0-Steady State Thermal was used. Two geometric models were consider

Forward Osmosis Process for the Treatment of Wastewater from Textile Industries

This paper was aimed to study the efficiency of forward osmosis (FO) process as a new application for the treatment of wastewater from textile effluent and the factors affecting the performance of forward osmosis process.
The draw solutions used were magnesium chloride (MgCl2), and aluminum sulphate (Al2 ( SO4)3 .18 H2O), and the feed solutions used were reactive red, and disperse blue dyes.
Experimental work were includes operating the forward osmosis process using thin film composite (TFC) membrane as flat sheet for different draw solutions and feed solutions. The operating parameters studied were : draw solutions concentration (10 – 90 g/l), feed solutions concentration (5 – 30 mg/l), draw solutions flow rate (10 – 50 l/hr

Assessment of Postoperative Follow-up for Patients with Recurrent Kidney Stone

Abstract Kidney stones are one of the most common and most painful medical problems known (1). Nurses assess and monitor patients through diagnosis and treatment and teach patients how to avoid recurrence of stones (2). A descriptive study was conducted on 150 patients diagnosed with recurrent kidney stones, who were attending the out patients consultation urology disease clinics at surgical specialties, Al-Kadhimia, Al-Yarmook, and Al-Karama Teaching Hospital and Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) departments for the period from the 1st of Feb. 2002 through to the end of May 2004. The aim of
