سلاح السيف العربي(sabre) حديث النشوء بالنسبة للاعبة العراقية إذ تم ممارسته خلال السنوات الأخيرة, ويتطلب شروط فنيه ميكانيكيه خاصة وفقآ لطبيعة الحركات وأن هذه الفعالية تعتمد بشكل رئيسي على مقدار مايمتلكه الرياضي من قوة وسرعه خاصة عند تطبيق المهارات الأساسية (الطعن والتقدم والتقهقر وأوضاع الدفاع المختلفة), وأن هذه الحركات تتطلب مستوى من القدرات البدنية كالقوة المميزة بالسرعة والقوه الأنفجاريه, فضلا عما يجب أن يمتلكه الرياضي من أحساس عال بزوايا العمل العضلي للأجزاء المساهمة في أداء المهارة, وهذا يتطلب معرفه زوايا المفاصل التي تعكس من خلالها صحة الأداء الفني والانجاز . ومن خلال خبره الباحثتان وجدت أن الجوانب الميكانيكية تدخل بشكل مباشر وفعال مع تكامل المسارات الحركية للمهارة والجوانب التدريبية في سبيل أنتاج أعلى مستوى من الأداء المهاري، لذا ارتأت الباحثتان دراسة هذه المشكلة والتعرف على مدى علاقة زوايا الأداء الحركي بنتائج منافسات سلاح السيف العربي للنساء. وهدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على بعض الزوايا(المرفق والكتف والورك والركبة) في لحظتي التهيؤ والطعن وعلاقتها بنتائج منافسات سلاح السيف العربي sabre للنساء. واستخدم المنهج الوصفي على اللاعبات المشاركات في بطوله الرافدين بالمبارزة في سلاح السيف العربي (sabre) والبالغ عددهن (8) لاعبة خلال الفترة من 18- 2 إلى 20-2- 2010 . في قاعة المبارزة في كلية التربية الرياضية الجادريه/ جامعة بغداد. وبعد تصوير المنافسات وتحليلها واستخراج المتغيرات البايوميكانيكية المطلوبة , واخذ نتائج المنافسات من لجنة الحكام , تم معالجتها إحصائيا بوساطة الحقيبة الإحصائية spss . وقد استنتجت الباحثتان وجود علاقة ارتباط معنوية بين متغيرات البحث ونتائج المنافسات,لذا توصي الباحثتان بالاعتماد على الأسس البايوميكانيكية عند التدريب على الأداء المهاري للاعبات السيف العربي (sabre).
