Two experiments were carried out, the first at the College of Agriculture - University of Baghdad during spring season 2017 Everest cv. class (Elite) was used to study the effect of foliar application of calcium and magnesium and addition of humic acid to the soil on potato growth and yield, The layout of the experiment was factorial within RCBD design using three replicates. Calcium and Magnesium sprayed with concentrations (0, 500, 1000 mg.L-1), while the humic acid was added to the soil with (0, 0.75 gm.m2), The second experiment included storage of tubers produced from the spring season, with to study the effect of field treatments on improving the storability of the tubers. The results showed that the treatment of calci

Show MoreThe numerical investigation has been performed to study the radiation affected steady state laminar mixed convection induced by a hot inner varied positions circular core in a horizontal rectangular channel for a fully developed flow. To examine the effects of thermal radiation on thermo fluid dynamics behavior in the eccentric geometry channel, the generalized body fitted co-ordinate system is introduced while the finite difference method is used for solving the radiative transport equation. The governing equations which used are continuity, momentum and energy equations. These equations are normalized and solved using the Vorticity-Stream function. After validating numerical results for the case without radiation, the detailed rad

Marketing capabilities are one of the contemporary trends that can be adopted by the organization in the implementation of all its tasks and thus it can be assisted in achieving many advantages which are the most prominent marketing reputation in the environment The research problem indicated that there is a clear failure to employ the dimensions of marketing capabilities in the organization's reputation. The National Center for Engineering Consultancy was selected as the field of application. The questionnaire was used as a tool to obtain the research data that were prepared based on a number
... Show MoreElectric vehicles are emerging as a sustainable alternative to conventional transportation. However, route planning in Internet of Vehicles environments remains challenging because conventional routing algorithms based on travel distance or time do not adequately consider electric vehicle-specific constraints. Existing routing strategies often overlook the combined effects of battery energy, traffic congestion, and charging requirements, resulting in inefficient routing decisions. This paper proposes an adaptive Energy, Congestion, and Charging-Aware Routing (ECCAR) protocol that uses energy-feasibility verification, cost-based charging-station selection, and route re-optimization for electric vehicles in Internet of Vehicles enviro

The suggestion is to use Zelio soft programmable relays instead of the unavailable old control units. Operation philosophy was studied through works of literature, operation manuals, and standards. Programmable logic control relay is proposed as an advanced selection than PLC's. Boilers operation is accompanied by operation risks. many boilers were exploded in Iraq for different reasons. Some problems are attributed to manual operation mistakes. Extensive work was done to understand the operation sequence, emergency shutdown, and faults causing the trips. A c
... Show MoreThe effect of refrigerant injection techniques on the performance of heat pump system based on exergy analysis was studied theoretically. Three refrigerant injection techniques were used; the first was achieved by injected vapour in volume ratios from 1 to 7% in the accumulator. The second was injection liquid refrigerant in the discharge line with the aid of Liquid Pressure Amplification (LPA) pump, with volume ratios from 1 to 10%. The third was a hybrid injection with volume ratios of injected vapour and liquid varied from 1 to 3% and 1 to 10%; respectively. The following improvements in cycle performance were observed. For vapour injection technique, the best ratio of injection was 5%, the exergy destruction reduced

Show MoreWater is the basis of the existence of all kinds of life, so obtaining it with good quality represents a challenge to human existence and development especially in the desert and remote cities because these areas contain small populations and water purification requires great materials and huge amounts of fossil fuels resulting pollution of the environment. Cheap and environmentally friendly desalination methods have been done by using solar distillations. Passive solar stills have low yields, so in this research, the problem is overcome by connecting four heat pipes which are installed on the parabolic concentrator reflector with passive solar still to increase the temperature of hot water to more than 90°C, as a resul
