Extensive evaluation of 76 women with polycystic ovary syndrome compared with 25 fertile women as control group was achieved by routine investigations and hormonal study of each female which were done in one period during the menstrual cycle. Three isolated bacteria were examined to remove heavy metals from the industrial wastewater of the Diala State Company of Electrical Industries, Diyala-Iraq. The isolated bacteria were identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB). The three isolates were used as an adsorption factor for different concentrations of Lead and Copper (100, 150, and 200 ppm.), in order to examine the adsorption efficiency of these isolates. Thirty pregnant albino mice with average body weight of 25-30gm and 8-14 weeks old were used to investigate the toxicity of the oral administration of anticancer methotrexate on kidneys after birth. Pregnant were received (single dose) of drug at different days of gestation and were divided into three groups (10mice / group), control groups were administered distilled water, the two remaining groups were administered by 2.5 and 7.5 mg/kg body weight of methotrexate. The changes in kidneys of newborns revealed significant (p<0.05) decrease in kidneys weights, kidneys lengths, pelvises lengths, and glomeruli diameters. The increase in concentration of methotrexate has increasing significant effect on kidneys of embryo and newborns.

Polymer composites were prepared using epoxy resin (EP) and unsaturated polyester (UPE) as a blend matrices, which were mixed together in different percentages (starting from 90:10) of (epoxy/polyester) respectively, and ending with (50:50) of (epoxy/polyester). The optimum mixing ratio (OMR) of the components was decided upon the results of the impact strength value of these blending ratio, which showed the highest value of (16.3) KJ/m2 for the blending ratio (80:20) of (EP/UPE) respectively.
