A Study of Thermal Properties of Some Nematogenic Schiff’s Bases
...Show More Authors

The thermal properties of four nematogenic Schiff’s bases, n-butyl-to-n-heptyl of bis (4-n-alkyloxybenzylidine)-2,3,5.6- tetramethyl-1, 4-phenylenediamine, have been studied. The transition temperatures and enthalpies of transition were examined by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Several correlations were carried out; those included the relations between transition temperatures, enthalpies and entropies of transition with increasing the
number of carbon atoms in the terminal alkyl chains. In addition, new regular relations were found between the ratio of the enthalpies and of the entropies,  for noematic-isotropic transition and crystal-isotropic transition ( ΔΗΝ-i/AHC-I, ΔS

Solar Photocatalytic Degradation of Diuron in Aqueous Solution by TiO2
...Show More Authors

The solar photocatalytic degradation of diuron, which is one of the herbicides, has been studied by a solar pilot plant in heterogeneous solar photocatalysis with titanium dioxide. The pilot plant was made up of compound parabolic collectors specially designed for solar photocatalytic applications. The influence of different variables such as, H2O2 initial concentration, TiO2 initial concentration, and diuron initial concentration with their relationship to the degradation efficiency were studied. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) found to increase the rate of diuron degradation. The best removal efficiency of heterogeneous solar photocatalytic TiO2 system was found to be 46.65 % and for heterogeneous solar photocatalytic TiO2/ H2O2 system was fo

PROPOSED STANDARDS FOR EVALUATING THE EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA
...Show More Authors

In the spreading of the Internet, mobile smart devices, and interactive websites such as YouTube, the educational video becomes more widespread and deliberative among users. The reasons for its spread are the prevalence of technologies, cheap cost, and easy to use. However, these products often lack to the distinction in video production. By following videos of an educational channel on YouTube, some comments found to discuss the lack of the content presented to motivate the learners, which lead to reduce the viewers of the videos. Therefore, there is an important decision to find general standards for the design and production of educational videos. A list of standards has been drawn up to help those interested in producing educational

Energy Band Diagram of NiO: Lu2 O3/n-Si heterojunction
...Show More Authors

Crystalline NiO and doped with rare earth lutetium oxide (Lu2O3) at (6%wt)., have been prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD), The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser beam was incident at an angle of 45° on the target surface, and the energy of the laser was 500 mJ, wavelengths of 532nm, and frequency 6Hz. XRD pattern shows all doped and undoped films are polycrystalline, and cubic structure. The 200nm thin NiO showed an average optical energy band gap of 3.4eV, and increase with doping at 6% Lu2O3. The Hall Effect measurements confirmed that holes were predominant charges in the conduction process (i.e p-type). D.C conductivity measurements with temp-erature (T), show

The effectiveness of a proposed teaching strategy according to The Common Knowledge Construction Model in Mathematical Proficiency for middle school student
...Show More Authors

This research aims to know the effectiveness of teaching with a proposed strategy according to the common Knowledge construction modelin mathematical proficiency among students of the second middle class. The researchers adopted the method of the experimental approach, as the experimental design was used for two independent and equal groups with a post-test. The experiment was applied to a sample consisting of (83) students divided into two groups: an experimental comprising (42) students and a control group, the second comprising (41) students., from Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab Intermediate School for Boys, for the first semester of the academic year (2021-2022), the two groups were rewarded in four variables: (chronological age calculated in mo
