In cognitive radio system, the spectrum sensing has a major challenge in needing a sensing method, which has a high detection capability with reduced complexity. In this paper, a low-cost hybrid spectrum sensing method with an optimized detection performance based on energy and cyclostationary detectors is proposed. The method is designed such that at high signal-to-noise ratio SNR values, energy detector is used alone to perform the detection. At low SNR values, cyclostationary detector with reduced complexity may be employed to support the accurate detection. The complexity reduction is done in two ways: through reducing the number of sensing samples used in the autocorrelation process in the time domain and through using the Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform (SDFT) instead of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). To evaluate the performance, two versions of the proposed hybrid method are implemented, one with the FFT and the other with the SDFT. The proposed method is simulated for cooperative and non-cooperative scenarios and investigated under a multipath fading channel. Obtained results are evaluated by comparing them with other methods including: cyclostationary feature detection (CFD), energy detector and traditional hybrid. The simulation results show that the proposed method with the FFT and the SDFT successfully reduced the complexity by 20% and 40% respectively, when 60 sensing samples are used with an acceptable degradation in the detection performance. For instance, when Eb/N0 is 0 dB , the probability of the detection of Pd is decreased by 20 % and 10% by the proposed method with the FFT and the SDFT respectively, as compared with the hybrid method existing in the literature.
Due to its importance in physics and applied mathematics, the non-linear Sturm-Liouville problems
witnessed massive attention since 1960. A powerful Mathematical technique called the Newton-Kantorovich
method is applied in this work to one of the non-linear Sturm-Liouville problems. To the best of the authors’
knowledge, this technique of Newton-Kantorovich has never been applied before to solve the non-linear
Sturm-Liouville problems under consideration. Accordingly, the purpose of this work is to show that this
important specific kind of non-linear Sturm-Liouville differential equations problems can be solved by
applying the well-known Newton-Kantorovich method. Also, to show the efficiency of appl
In recent years, there has been expanding development in the vehicular part and the number of vehicles moving on the road in all the sections of the country. Vehicle number plate identification based on image processing is a dynamic area of this work; this technique is used for security purposes such as tracking of stolen cars and access control to restricted areas. The License Plate Recognition System (LPRS) exploits a digital camera to capture vehicle plate numbers is used as input to the proposed recognition system. Basically, the developing system is consist of three phases, vehicle license plate localization, character segmentation, and character recognition, the License Plate (LP) detection is presented using canny Edge detection algo

Show MoreThe evaluation of assignment problems for job suppliers is necessary to meet demands; therefore, academics in the operations research field and management factories have paid considerable attention to assignment problems. Notably, because the central point of classical assignment models with parameters assumes that supplier management oversees all inputs and outputs are fixed data, these types of models cannot provide exact and accurate data. Hence, specific inputs and/or outputs can be improper and ambiguous. Consequently, existing studies have explored various approaches to determine an optimal route that corresponds to assignments to suppliers when ambiguous values are involved. However, the computation of multiple routes for each assign

The first technique involves using benzidine in an alkaline solution to convert 3-aminophenol into a colored complex. The produced complex has a red color with an absorbance of 462 nm. Between the concentration range 5–14 μg mL−1, Beer's law is obeyed with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.99781, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.0423 μg mL−1, and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.1411 μg mL−1. The recovery was between 87.2–95.43%, the relative standard deviation (%RSD) was 2.40–3.31% and the molar absorptivity was 3.545 × 103 L mol−1 cm−1. Secondly, cloud point extraction (CPE) was used to determ

Show MoreIn this paper, an estimate has been made for parameters and the reliability function for Transmuted power function (TPF) distribution through using some estimation methods as proposed new technique for white, percentile, least square, weighted least square and modification moment methods. A simulation was used to generate random data that follow the (TPF) distribution on three experiments (E1 , E2 , E3) of the real values of the parameters, and with sample size (n=10,25,50 and 100) and iteration samples (N=1000), and taking reliability times (0< t < 0) . Comparisons have been made between the obtained results from the estimators using mean square error (MSE). The results showed the
