Investigating the Electrochemical Properties of Alkaloids Compound Derived from Catharanthus Roseus Extract

The Catharanthus roseus plant was extracted and converted to nanoparticles in this work. The Soxhlet method was used to extract alkaloid compounds from the Catharanthus roseus plant and converted them to the nanoscale. Chitosan polymer was used as a linking material and converted to Chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs). The extracted alkaloids were linked with Chitosan nanoparticles by maleic anhydride to get the final product (CSNPs-Linker-alkaloids). The pure Chitosan, Chitosan nanoparticles, and CSNPs-Linker-alkaloids were characterized by X-ray diffractometer, and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. X-ray results show that all samples have an orthorhombic structure with crystallite size in nanodimensions. FTIR spectra prove that the P=O is the cross-linkage between chitosan and phosphate groups by ionic bond, which indicate that the Chitosan nanoparticle has been formed in the solution. FTIR spectrum for CSNPs - Linker - alkaloids appear a new distinct band at 1708.93 cm-1 which demonstrates the presence of C = O esterification. Atomic Force Microscope images of the Chitosan nanoparticles and CSNPs-Linker-alkaloids show that they have almost spherical shapes with average sizes of 90 and 92.6 nm respectively. The electroactive surface area of glassy carbon electrodes (GCE), extract plant, and Linker-alkaloids were calculated in KCl solution containing K3[Fe (CN)6]. The presence of CSNPs-Linker-alkaloids in modified glassy carbon electrodes about 3 times. The successful synthesis of organic nanoparticles from the Catharanthus roseus plant can be used safely in biosensors, environmental monitoring, and biomedical applications.

This study has sought to explore the Yemeni online news websites’ treatment of the tropical storm “Luban” which hit the coasts of al-Mahra governorate, and other parts of the Yemeni Eastern and Southern governorates in October 2018. The study also examined how the Yemeni news websites covered the disaster on the basis of the problematic situation model. The study’s findings revealed a form of logical balance in distributing the coverage of the disaster in its different phases. Two-Component Generalization of a Generalized the Short Pulse Equation

     In this article, we introduce a two-component generalization for a new generalization type of the short pulse equation was recently found by Hone and his collaborators. The coupled of nonlinear equations is analyzed from the viewpoint of Lie’s method of a continuous group of point transformations. Our results show the symmetries that the system of nonlinear equations can admit, as well as the admitting of the three-dimensional Lie algebra. Moreover, the Lie brackets for the independent vectors field are presented. Similarity reduction for the system is also discussed.

Study the spectroscopy of samarium encapsulated in silica Xerogel matrices

The sol-gel preparation technique of transparent silica monoliths containing up to 0.5 M of samarium have been described. The sol-gel processing parameters are: acid catalyzed hydrolysis and controlled drying. The prepared monoliths are analyzed by X-ray diffraction, pycnometer measurements, Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy and optical spectroscopy. The oscillator strengths of the Sm3+ ions in the silica monoliths are calculated. The results show a linear concentration dependence of some Sm3+ transitions in UV/Vis absorption spectra and formation of Sm3+ clusters inside the pores structure of silica monoliths at high Sm3+ concentration

The Effect of Video Games on Intermediate Students’ Academic Achievement

The study attempts to identify 1) the habits of playing video games among students, 2) the effect of playing video games on students’ academic achievement, 3) the statistically significant differences among students in regard of (gender, time of playing video games, number of hours).
