Transition metal complexes of Co(II) and Ni(II) with azo dye 3,5-dimethyl-2-(4-nitrophenylazo)-phenol derived from 4-nitoaniline and3,5-dimethylphenol were synthesized. Characterization of these compounds has been done on the basis of elemental analysis,electronic data, FT-IR,UV-Vis and 1 HNMR, as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The nature of thecomplexes formed were studies following the mole ratio and continuous variation methods, Beer ' s law obeyed over a concentrationrange (1x10 -4 - 3x10 -4 M). Our recent work displays the successful preparation of Schiff_bases that carried out between hexane-2,5-dione and 2 moles of (Z)-3-hydrazineylideneindolin-2-one forming in Schiff-bases-(L), Which in turn allowed combining with each of the next metal ions: (M²⁺) = Ni, Mn, Zn, Cu and Co forming complexes_ in high stability. The characteristic of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is the development of skin ulcers that are controlled by the immune system. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a cytokine generated by the innate immune response to CL infection, can influence disease clearance in the human host. Coupling reaction of 2-amino benzoic acid with 8-hydroxy quinoline gave bidentate azo ligand.
