Women psychiatrists in Iraq: breaking barriers in career development
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Iraqi psychiatrists pioneered the commencement of mental health services eight decades ago and became the cornerstone of its development over the years despite the profound challenges of wars, conflicts, shortages of resources, and social stigma towards psychiatry in general. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the contributions that women make to mental health services, even though they are underrepresented in positions of leadership in psychiatry. We conducted a comprehensive review of existing literature and the archives of educational psychiatric institutes, personal communication with the psychiatrists in charge, and scrutinized the search engines for the latest data. Pathways to academia were identified as limited by financial support, engagement and coordination between academia and clinical services, and flexible working. The total number of psychiatrists has increased recently, with the remarkable contribution of younger women psychiatrists who provide psychiatric care and aspire to better professional productivity. Iraq can create a more effective and inclusive mental health treatment system by tackling structural, budgetary, and cultural obstacles. The contribution of female psychiatrists must be recognized and supported as the need for mental health services becomes increasingly critical.</p>

Development of a Semi-Analytical Type Curve of Transient Pressure Response in Complex Well-Reservoir Architectures
...Show More Authors

The objective of the conventional well testing technique is to evaluate well- reservoir interaction through determining the flow capacity and well potential on a short-term basis by relying on the transient pressure response methodology. The well testing analysis is a major input to the reservoir simulation model to validate the near wellbore characteristics and update the variables that are normally function of time such as skin, permeability and productivity multipliers.

Well test analysis models are normally built on analytical approaches with fundamental physical of homogenous media with line source solution. Many developments in the last decade were made to increase the resolution of transient response derivation to meet the

Elucidation of a role for the aqueous extract of borage in mammary gland growth and development
...Show More Authors

Herbal remedies are used in induction of lactation. In view of that .Borage Officinalis was employed to ensure an abundant milk supply or rectify milk insufficiency .However, this remedy has not been scientifically tested .The animals were treated with the aqueous extract of Borage Officinalis flowers at a daily concentration of 100 mg / kg body weight /ml for each rat through Oro-gastric tube for 14 days. Animals were subdivided into subgroups according to their physiological status. Mammary glands of these animals were processed for histological, histochemical and immunohistochemical studies. Parameters indicated that the aqueous extract of Borage Officinalis flowers induced lactogenesis in the mammmary glands of virgin and pregnant rats

THE MEDIATING ROLE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRODUCER COST EXPECTATIONS AND CUSTOMER DESIRES
...Show More Authors

In this paper, customers’ expectations are continually shifting due to the business environment’s growing competition and substantial changes. As a result, organisations no longer viewed it as a static objective but as an ever-evolving aim. From this vantage point, the research has explored the accounting literature in search of novel approaches to addressing the strategic dimensions of quality, cost and time. Getting them to respond positively to the customer’s requests also requires recognising their needs and controlling their impact on these dimensions. With the removal of operations that do not contribute any value to the product’s value chain and a reduction in manufacturing costs through continuous improvement, the ou

Abstract
<title>Background

Arabian killifish, Aphanius dispar, lives in marine coastal areas of the Middle East, as well as in streams that experience a wide range of salinities and temperatures. It has been used as a mosquito control agent and for studying the toxicities of environmental pollutants. A. dispar's eggshell (chorion) and embryos are highly transparent and are suitable for high resolution microscopic observations, offering excellent visibility of live tissues.

Results

In this study, the staging of normal embryonic development of A. dispar

Decentralization in Iraq: Addressing The State – Society Gap
...Show More Authors

The implementation of decentralization in Iraq was asymmetrical, leading to different forms and paces of implementation. Comparing four cases of Basra, Kirkuk, Nineveh, and Sulaymaniyah indicate that these cases differ in their political stability and autonomy in a way that led to a different forms of decentralization. This paper argues that the higher the level of political autonomy from the federal government, the more efficient the governance model, and the more efficient the governance model, the more legitimate the system (trust), and the more legitimate a system, the more accountable elected officials. Therefore, it recommends reforming the institutional setup of decentralization by having districts, instead of provinces, as t
