Background Kidney transplant care in low-resource countries is often affected by multiple factors, including workforce constraints, fragmented communication, and medication access challenges. Given pharmacists’ involvement in medication management and regular patient follow-up, this study was designed to explore transplant care delivery in Iraq from pharmacists’ perspectives. Method Qualitative data were collected using face-to-face, semi-structured interviews with all eligible pharmacists from the two major governmental hospitals in Baghdad caring for kidney transplant recipients. Afterwards, data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s reflexive thematic analysis approach. Results This study included 13 pharmacists, 5 of whom were working in the clinical transplant wards, whereas the remaining 8 were working in the outpatient consultation setting. Four descriptive themes were identified: Dispensing-centered practice within a constrained and evolving pharmacist role, fragmented yet adaptive interprofessional collaboration, patient education as an informal and inconsistently delivered practice, and medication availability within a constrained and variably regulated supply system. Conclusion This study highlights the adaptive approaches used by pharmacists in an attempt to maintain medication access and patient support with the available resources. However, the study findings also highlight challenges that extend beyond the capacity of individual pharmacists to resolve and suggest the need for more structured organizational support, clearer communication pathways, and an integrated system to strengthen Iraqi transplant care practices within comparable governmental settings.
Hypertension is one of the leading causes of the global burden of disease, which causes serious health problems. The aim of this study is to investigate the lipid profile levels in sera of Iraqi hypertensive patients by measuring Total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoproteins (LDL) and kidney function levels by measuring uric acid, urea and creatinine. Seventy five individuals of Iraqi adults (Males) were divided into three groups: 25 hypertensive patients with duration of disease (1-10) year (group 1), 25 hypertensive patients with duration of disease (11-30) year (group 2) and 25 normal individuals as control group (group3). The findings indicate that serum (TC, TG and LDL) levels were significantly elevated (

They regulate several essential physiological functions of organisms and are found in all forms of life, including humans, plants, and microorganisms. Furthermore, they serve as vital energy sources and also act as neurotransmitters. An analysis of the kidneys of Pterocles alchata, an Iraqi Pin-tailed sandgrouse, revealed the presence of 18 specific amino acids. The data indicate that there were no significant differences in the total amounts of amino acids among the three renal lobes. The concentrations in the anterior, middle, and posterior lobes were measured to be 14.154 ą97. 273, 12.437 ą87. 255, and 11.882 ą88. 157 correspondingly, w

A cross-sectional study was carried out between September 2019 and April 2020 using an online survey. Pharmacists from eight different hospitals in Malaysia were involved in the study. The survey link was sent to all pharmacists of the included hospitals via email. Data were analysed using SPSS version 25.
A total of 226 pharmacists participated in this study, and their average age was 28 years old. About 82 % of the participants reported that they did not have any previous re

The aim of the study is to Investigate the correlation between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and an increased risk of colorectal cancer (CRC), as well as the relationship between liver function enzymes and specific serum biomarkers in CRC patients with NAFLD. Methods: A case-control study involving 60 participants was conducted from February to August 2022. The patients with colon cancer were examined at Baghdad Medical City's Al-Amal Hospital for Radiation and Nuclear Medicine and Oncology Teaching Hospital, and blood samples were taken. It is affected by several groups of diseases; inflammatory, hematopoietic, reticuloendothelial proliferation, portal hypertension and storage diseases. Ultrasound (US) may detect mild splenomegaly before it is clinically palpable. Knowledge of the normal range of spleen size in the population being examined is a prerequisite. Racial differences in splenic length could result in incorrect interpretation of splenic measurements and such differences would make it difficult to standardize expected splenic length and to determine non- palpable splenic enlargement. Objectives: To measure the normal values of splenic lengthin Iraqi subjects an
