This new azo dye 3-((2-(1H-indol-3-yl) ethyl) diazenyl) quinoline-2-ol was subsequently used to prepare a series of complexes with the metal ions of Cr+3, Cu+2, VO+2, Mn+2and Mo+6. The compounds identified by 1H and 13C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, mass spectroscopy, as well as TGA, DSC, and C.H.N., conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, metal and chlorine content. The results showed that the ligand behaves in a bidantate, and that the complexes gave octahedral, excepting for VO+2 square pyramid was given, that all complexes are non-electrolytes. The effectiveness of mention the compounds in inhibiting free radicals was evaluated by the ability to act as an antioxidant was measured using DPPH as a free radical and gallic acid as a standard substance, the IC50 value was determined, because the ligand was found to have a higher ability to inhibit free radicals, and the ability to inhibit the complexes varied according to the IC50 value. The anti-breast cancer efficacy of the compounds was evaluated at five concentrations each, the results showed that the IC50 value for ligand was 49.86 µg/mL, while the Mo complex gave 25.48 µg/mL, Cu complex gave 123.8 µg/mL, meaning that the Mo-complex gave a higher inhibition value than ligand and Cu. 2-hydrazinylbenzo[d]thiazole compound [1] is produced from reaction of 2-mercapto-benzothiazole with hydrazine hydride in ethanol. Compound [1] reacted with maleic anhydride in DMF to produce (Z)-4-(2-(benzo[d] thiazol-2yl) hydrazinyl)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid [compound (2)]. While the treatment of compound [2] with the ammonium persulfate (NH4)2S2O8 (as the initiator) in order to produce compound [3], then compound [3] reacted with thionyl chloride in benzene to produce compound [4], finally compound [4] reaction with various drugs: cephalexin, amoxicillin, sulfamethizole, elecoxib obtained polymers [5–8]. Metronidazole is considered the standard drug for the treatment of Blastocystis infection; however, there is growing evidence of treatment failure, hazardous side effects, and appearance of strains resistant to metronidazole. In the last era, many studies have been implicated in the quest for new treatments for Blastocystis infection, especially natural products. Attention has been focused on the effect of Amygdalin (B17) and pumpkin seed on eradicating parasitic infections. The current work was built up to explore the in vitro efficacy of two natural compounds, Amygdalin (B17) and pumpkin seeds against

The metal complexes of the Schiff base with Mn(II), Hg(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) metal ions were designed and characterized by magnetic susceptibility, elemental analyses, molar conduction, IR, and 1H NMR,UV-Vis spectral metrics. The UV-Vis. and magnetic susceptibility data of the complexes suggest a square-planar, tetrahedraland octahedral geometries around the central metal ions. All elaborations were accomplished after determination the optimum molar concentration and pH which followed law of Lambert-Beer's in the researches pH scopes. All prepared compounds have been characterizedby FT-IR, SEM, DSC, as well as Biological activity. Antimicrobialactivity related to prepared blendsand Nanocomposites againstsix types of bacteria namely, Staphylococcus aureas, E. faecalis, S.typhi, P. aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli andC. albicans fungal were examined and evaluated. The results reveal that the prepared polymer blends and nanocompositeshavegood antimicrobial activity against all kinds of microbials.
The synthesis of ligands with N2S2 donor sets that include imine, an amide, thioether, thiolate moieties and their metal complexes were achieved. The new Schiff-base ligands; N-(2-((2,4-diphenyl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-ylidene)amino)ethyl)-2-((2-mercaptoethyl)thio)-acetamide (H2L1) and N-(2-((2,4-di-p-tolyl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-ylidene)amino)ethyl)-2-((2-mercaptoethyl)thio) acetamide (H2L2) were obtained from the reaction of amine precursors with 1,4-dithian-2-one in the presence of triethylamine as a base in the CHCl3 medium.
