Women infertility is a common reproductive system disorder. Diagnosis and treatment are characterized by limited availability and high costs. This paper intends to evaluate the levels of endogenous antioxidant proteins metallothionein 2 (MT2) and metallothionein 4 (MT4) in the serum of both infertile and fertile women, as well as to assess the association between these proteins and total oxidant capacity (TOC), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), oxidative stress index (OSI), serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), and serum testosterone. This case-control study involved one hundred eighty Iraqi women, categorized into three categories: primary infertile women (P group), secondary infertile women (S group), and healthy fertile women (C group). With regard to the control group, the results demonstrated a significant rise in serum MT2 levels within the primary infertile group, while serum MT4 level displayed a noticeable decrease in the infertile groups. The rise in MT2 could serve as a means to compensate for a decline in MT4, pointing out the potential antioxidant contribution of these proteins in the progression of infertility. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) outcome demonstrated excellent sensitivity and specificity, alongside an elevated AUC for MT2, MT4, and other biomarkers in a diagnosis of women infertility.
Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age with primary manifestations of infertility, menstrual dysfunction and clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism (hirsutism, acne and elevated androgen). Adiponectin is the most abundant adipokine. It has insulin-sensitizing, anti-atherogenic, and antiinflammatory actions. Objective: Low adiponectin levels in women with PCOS have been largely attributed to obesity which is common among these patients. Therefore, the aim of this study was to measure adiponectin levels in normal weight women with PCOS and its contribution to development of disease.Subjects and Methods: Fifty two (52) women were included in this study with age ra

Aggressive periodontitis is rare which in most cases manifest themselves clinically during youth. It characterized by rapid rate of disease progression .Pro-inflammatory chemokines organized inflammatory responses. Granulocyte chemotactic protein 2 is involved in neutrophil gathering and movement. The purpose of the study is to detect serum of Granulocyte Chemotactic Protein 2 and correlate to periodontal condition in patients with chronic periodontitis, Aggressive periodontitis and Healthy Control subjects and measurement the count of neutrophils for the studied groups. Ninety patients with Confirmatory SARS-Cov-2 by PCR were inclusion in the study, and they were seeking treatment at Medical City in Baghdad's Teaching Hospital (BTH). Patients with SARS-Cov-2 were divided into two groups: those with Sever SARS-Cov-2 symptom and those with mild - moderate SARS-Cov-2 symptoms (cross sectional study. Patients with another form of autoimmune illness, malignant, diabetes, under the age of 18 and pregnant women were excluded. Results: Data rega

Omentin-1 is secreted by the visceral adipose tissue and it isdonated in the regulation of bone metabolism in postmenopausal women which is related with decreased bone mineral density. The current study aims to investigate the role of serum omentin-1and some bone metabolism markers in osteoporosis among postmenopausal Iraqi women. This study was performedin the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Unit, Baghdad Teaching Hospital/ Baghdad medical city, during the period from November 2019 to July 2020 with a total of 60 postmenopausal women(30 with osteoporosis and 30 without osteoporosis), their ages ranged from 52 to 62 years. Materials and Methods: A total of 50 subjects were enrolled, of which 25 had chronic generalized periodontitis and 25 periodontally healthy subjects as control. The clinical parameters included: gingival index, pocket probing depth, clinical attachment level and bleeding on probing. The level of
