Statistical Evalution of Safety Procedures and Chemical Security in Chemical Laboratories / College Ibn Al Haitham

Abstract<p>In order to minimize the significant incidents in chemical laboratories, specially the academic laboratories, one must be able to identify and evaluate hazards. Familiar with safety rules and responsibilities. Assessing implementation of safety rules and securities. The aim of this paper is to for the evaluate and assess the of chemical safety procedures and chemical policies in academic laboratories using statistical questionnaire. A form is written, suggested two main parts, safety and security. Safety part includes three classes, hardware requirements, training and application of safety procedures. the second part is security. The form design is based on four points Likert scale. The forms were distributed to more than 90 persons who works in the chemistry department laboratories, of Ibn Al Haitham college of education, university of Baghdad. Statistical analysis is carried out using IBM Statistics SPSS, Version 24,2016. an internal consistency reliability was estimated using Cronbach’s alpha measuring scale, a value of 83.4 % was achieved it indicates a good reliability. The research emphasized a shortage in the application of safety procedures due to the lack of hardware requirements, as well as training. Control banding chemical uses in research and education laboratories, checklists and development of standard operating procedures are the most important things to achieve the safety in chemical laboratories.</p>

The Effect of Temperature and pH on the Removal / Recovery of ZN++ from Solution by Chemical Coagulation

This work was conducted to study the treatment of industrial waste water, and more particularly those in the General Company of Electrical Industries.This waste water, has zinc ion with maximum concentration in solution of 90 ppm.
The reuse of such effluent can be made possible via appropriate treatments, such as chemical coagulation, Na2S is used as coagulant.
The parameters that influenced the waste water treatment are: temperature, pH, dose of coagulant and settling time.

Effect of physical form and washing of treated and untreated rice straw with sodium hydroxide upon chemical composition and in vitro digestibility

The chemical composition of some kinds of local soybean Glycine max and its utilization in manufacturing supporting cereal baby foods

This study was conducted on five kinds of local soybean seeds (Ibaa, Hawija, Taqa.2, Lee74 and Hassan). The chemical analysis results showed that Hawija soybean has the highest percent of protein which was 38-08%, The amino acid percent was also higher than the other kinds(lysine, Thereonine and Tryptopham), and being 389,250,81 mg/gm nitrogen respectively Both amino acids were important for child nutrition. Hawija was selected, being the best for proteins and basic amino acids, and was utilized in preparation of the adjunct baby food formula. Eighteen formulas had been prepared by using soybean flour kind(Hawija), wheat flour kind (Abu gharib) and full fat powder milk (NIDO). Each formula contained 20% protein as recommended by F.A.O, W.
