The results of the current study showed that the liver of H. javanicus appeared as large lobulated organ divided into six distinct lobes, that filled the cranial region and little extended to the middle region of abdominal cavity. On the other hand, liver of S. carolinensis laid against the diaphragm, occupied the cranial region of the abdominal cavity and consisted of five lobes. The liver is surrounded with a thin capsule of dense regular collagenous connective tissue and few numbers of smooth muscles fibers can be seen in the capsule that covered the squirrel liver. The liver parenchyma divided into a large number of interconnected hepatic lobules marked only by the abundant amount of connective tissue bordered the triads, and within these lobules, polyhedral shaped hepatocytes are arranged as cords of one cell thick. The liver cords are enclosed by irregular hepatic sinusoids and ordered in radial fashion around the central vein. The portal areas are consisting of branches of the hepatic portal vein and hepatic artery as well as (1-4) branches of the bile duct that appear in different sizes. Cuboidal epithelium type is lined the small branches of these ducts, while the large sized of them is lined by columnar epithelium type, in which the goblet cells appeared to be more frequently and clearer in H. javanicus than S. carolinesis. In weasel, sometimes the triad structures of large and small sized portal areas are embedded together in one abundant mass of connective tissue.

All life stages of the pentatomid stink bug Mustha spinulosa (Lefebrve, 1831) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) collected from several types of trees in Erbil Governorate, North Iraq, along with their morphometrical description, were illustrated. The isotretinoin drug is 13-cis-retinoic acid, is the treatment of severe acne and some skin cancers and used for dermatological conditions, this study was designed to detect the toxic role of the isotretinoin on the intrauterine development after implantation in albino mice during pregnancy. There are very little studies which indicating the side-effect of this drug on intra-uterine growth, so in the present research we tried to study the toxic effect of isotretinoin on the endometrial changes of uterus during the 2nd. and 3rd. trimester of gestation in pregnant mice after treatment with single chronic dose of the Isotretinoin drug (20 mg/B.wt) from first day of gestation until 21 days the last day of gestation.

The purpose of this study was to examine the histological structure of the kidney in snake Eryx gaculus gaculus. In present study, the snakes were collected from the city of Baghdad and transferred to the laboratory where their kidneys were dissected out. The samples were then processed to be prepared for histological examination microscopial observations showed that there is no border between the cortex and medulla regions of kidney. The kidney consists of nephrons which are composed of glomerulus surrounded by Bowman’s capsule; the other segments are proximal tubule, distal tubule and connecting tubule.
