Characterization, morphology and electrical properties of chemically deposited nanocrystalline PbS/Si heterojunction thin films
...Show More Authors

A nanocrystalline thin films of PbS with different thickness (400, 600)nm have been prepared successfully by chemical bath deposition technique on glass and Si substrates. The structure and morphology of these films were studied by X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscope. It shows that the structure is polycrystalline and the average crystallite size has been measured. The electrical properties of these films have been studied, it was observed that D.C conductivity at room temperature increases with the increase of thickness, From Hall measurements the conductivity for all samples of PbS films is p-type. Carrier's concentration, mobility and drift velocity increases with increasing of thickness. Also p-PbS/n-Si heterojunction has been fabricated at different thickness. The reverse bias capacitance was measured as a function of bias voltage, and it is indicated that these HJs are abrupt. The capacitance decreases with increasing the reverse bias, and fixed at high value of reverse bias voltage. The capacitance increases with increasing thickness. The width of depletion layers decreases with increases thickness. The value of highest built in potential has been measured. The current-voltage characteristic show that the forward current at dark condition varies exponentially with applied voltage and the junction was coinciding with recombination-tunneling model. The difference between forward and reverse current with applied voltage indicates that the junction has a high rectification characteristic. The value of ideality factor was varies between (1.821-1.715), From the I-V measurements under illumination, the photocurrent increased with increasing thickness. © 2016, National Institute R and D of Materials Physics. Aesthetics of Employing Digital Sound Effects in Animated Films: سامر طه سالم
...Show More Authors

When the digital technologies entered the world of cinema production, they boosted the ability of the cinematographic medium to implement various subjects with great accuracy, as the development included all the joints and stages of the cinematic film production whether it is a feature film or an animation. Therefore, the process of film manufacturing by the digital technologies reflects the spirit of the age and the development that humanity has attained. What motivated the researcher to determine the topic of the research, which combines between the sound effects and the animated films under the title (aesthetics of employing digital sound effects in animated films), is the work of the digital technologies. The researcher divide

Synthesis and Characterization of Some Oxazolidine and Thiazolidine Derivatives and Study of their Antioxidants Activity
...Show More Authors

In this work, the preparation of some new oxazolidine and thiazolidine derivatives has been conducted. This was done over two steps; the first step included the synthesis of Schiff bases A1-A5 in 72-88% yields by the condensation of isonicotinic acid hydrazide and aldehydes. The second step includes the cyclization of derivatives A1-A5 with glycolic acid and thioglycolic acid to obtain the desired products, oxazolidine derivatives B1-B5 (44-60% yields) and thiazolidine derivatives C1-C5 (41-61% yields), respectively. The structure of the prepared compounds was characterized using FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Some of the produced compounds were tested for antioxidant properties.

Zinc Oxide Nanoparticle Properties and Antimicrobial Activity
...Show More Authors

In this study, zinc oxide was prepared by pulsed laser ablation method (PLAL), which is an easy-to-use and inexpensive physical method. The optical properties were studied using UV-Vis spectrometers, structure properties by (XRD) to calculate the crystalline size, and particle size determination by Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) assays and it was proved that they are within the ideal nanoscale for biological application. These ZnO NPs were employed on the inhibitory activity of different types of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as on fungi, and it was noted their ability to penetrate the bacterial cell wall and inhibit its action.

The Crystallite Size Dependence of the Transmittance Property of Vanadium Dioxide Nano Films
...Show More Authors

Bruggeman's symmetric effective-medium model of vanadium oxide is introduced, in which the transmittance was studied because of its importance in the subject of smart windows, it was studied from ( 5 nm-1000 nm) for each of the regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, the ultraviolet and visible region, and the near and medium sub-regions of the infrared and the results showed that the importance of studying the transmittance of vanadium oxide as a good candidate For this kind of industries. Our results showed that the small sizes of the material guarantee an almost constant and high transmittance to the visible region; this is due to the agreement of the direction of the dipoles in the material with the direction of the internal el

Preparation and Spectroscopic Characterization of Chromium(III) and Iron(III) Mixed Ligand Complexes
...Show More Authors

.Curcumin (Cur) and L phenylalanine (Phy) compounds were used to prepare two mixed ligand complexes with Cr (III) and Fe (III) ions. The synthesized complexes are characterized by using conductivity measurement and different spectral methods like FT-IR and UV- Vis .Molar conductance and analytical studies confirmed that the complexes exhibit octahedral geometry., suggest that the complexes are formed in 1: 1 :2 [ L : Metal : 2phe ] ratio and they proposed to have the general formulae [M(Cur)(phe)2] Cl (M= Cr (III) and Fe (III) The compound dyeing method was studied and applied to acrylic fabric. The antibacterial activity of curcumin, phenylalanine and their mixed ligand complexes were examined on pathogenic bacterial strains and showed good

Preparation and Characterization of Silver Nanoparticles and its Medical Application against Pathogenic Bacteria
...Show More Authors

The fabrication of Solid and Hollow silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) has been achieved and their characterization was performed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), zeta potential, UV–VIS spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). A TEM image revealed a quasispherical form for both Solid and Hollow Ag NPs. The measurement of surface charge revealed that although Hollow Ag NPs have a zeta potential of -43 mV, Solid Ag NPs have a zeta potential of -33 mV. According to UV-VIS spectroscopy measurement Solid and Hollow Ag NPs both showed absorption peaks at wavelengths of 436 nm and 412 nm, respectively. XRD pattern demonstrates that the samples' crystal structure is cubic, similar to that of the bulk materials, with

Extraction and Characterization of rapeseed oil (Brassca campestris ) and it's Effected on Microorganisms
...Show More Authors

Oil from Brassca campestris (local variety) was extracted with hexane using Soxhlet. The extracted oil was characterized and its antimicrobial activity was determined as well. The content of extracted oil was 40% with 0.5% of volatile oil .Oil was immiscible with polar solvent such as ethanol, acetone and water, while it was easily miscible with chloroform due to its hydrophobicity. The result of organoleptic tests revealed that the oil is clear yellow in color and odorless with acceptable taste. The oil was stable at 4 -25 C? for a month. Refractive index (RI) of oil was 1.4723 with density of 0.914, [both at 4-25 C?]. Boiling point 386 C?. Infra red spectroscopy (IR) indicated the presence of different chemical groups (C=C

Synthesis and Characterization of Metals Complexes with Uracil and Uracil Derivatives (A Review)
...Show More Authors

Previous studies on the synthesis and characterization of metal chelates with uracil by elemental analysis, conductivity, IR, UV-Vis, NMR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis were covered in this review article. Reviewing these studies, we found that uracil can be coordinated through the electron pair on the N1, N3, O2, or O4 atoms. If the uracil was a mono-dentate ligand, it will be coordinated by one of the following atoms: N1, N3 or O2. But if the uracil was bi-dentate ligand, it will be coordinated by atoms N1 and O2, N3 and O2 or N3 and O4. However, when uracil forms complexes in the form of polymers, coordination occurs through the following atoms: N1 and N3 or N1 and O4.
