This study was aimed to investigate the iron overload effect on the levels of ferritin, testosterone, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and prolactin (PRL) in male patients with β-thalassemia. Blood levels of sex hormones and ferritin were determined in (50 males) beta-thalassemia patients, aged (16-23) years and in (30) healthy males matched for age. Aim: The current study was aimed to determine the relationship between the orthodontic force applied by monobloc and the salivary level of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) enzymes, considering the time factor after insertion of the appliance and whether there is a correlation between these enzymes. Materials and methods: A sample of 28 growing patients requiring orthodontic treatment with myofunctional appliance (Monoblock) was taken for the current study with an age range 9 to 12 years,all patients had Angle's class II division 1 malocclusion with no or mild crowding, the sample was selected using simple random sampling. Only 16 subjects (10 males and 6 females) were included who follow certain inclusion criteria.

      The aim of the present study is to estimate the levels of some essential and non-essential metals content of soil and seven leafy vegetable species, in the field 30m away from the Al-Qanat highway in Baghdad using X-ray fluorescence analysis. The results showed that soil and leafy vegetables had higher levels of macro elements, and that Ca in rocket and purslane was the highest.        In this study, an industrial source) E-Glass fiber) and a natural source (chestnut filler) were combined to improve the properties of polyesters. Hand-layup technique was applied in this work. Polyester (UPE) were reinforced with E-glass fibers, then reinforced with nano chestnut particles. All composites were prepared with (10% wt.) of E-glass for all prepared sheet and this ratio applied for Nano chestnut composite to preparing nano hybrid composites, Nano chestnut particles were used to reinforce E-glass/UPE composites with weight ratio (3%, 6% and 9% wt.). The evaluated mechanical performances for E-glass/NCSP polyester composite were tensile strength, impact strength and hardness. The higher ultimate tensile strength, Y
