A new ligand [3(3(2chloroacetyl) thioureido)pyrazine-2-carboxyliIcacid](CPC)was synthesized by reaction of rized by imicro elmental analysis C.H.N.S.,FT-IR,UV-Vis and 1H-13CNMR spectra, some transition metals complex ofIthis ligand were Prepared and characterized byiFT-IR,UV-Vis spectra conductivity measurements magnetic susceptibility and atomic absorption. From the obtained results the molecular formula of all prepared complexes were[M(CPC)2](M+2i=Mn. Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg),the proposedi geometrical structure for all complexes were as tetrahedral geometry except copper complex has square planer geometry.
A novel Schiff base ligand (DBC) synthesized from 4-chlorobenzoic acid, along with its Cu (II) and Co (II) complexes, was prepared and characterized using FT-IR, 1H and 13C-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, as well as magnetic and conductivity measurements. Based on this, a tetrahedral structure of [M(DBC)Cl2] was proposed for the complexes. Antioxidant activity of the compounds was assessed and compared to ascorbic acid, revealing that the copper complex exhibited superior antioxidant properties compared to the cobalt complex and the ligand. Furthermore, the antibiofilm potential of the copper and cobalt complexes was assessed against five clinically relevant bacterial species (P.aeruginosa, E.coli, K.pneumoniae, S.aureus and S.typhi) usin
... Show MoreA new series of transition metal complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Fe(III) have been synthesized from the Schiff base (L1) and (L2) derived from Semicarbazide hydro chloride and 4-chlorobenzaldehyde or 4-bromobenzaldehyde. The structural features have been arrived from their elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, IR, UV-Vis. and 1H NMR spectral studies. The data show that the complexes have composition of [M(L)2](NO3)2 and [Fe(L)2 (NO3)2](NO3) where the M=Co(II),Ni(II) and Cu(II) ;L=L1and L2 type. The magnetic susceptibility and UV-Vis spectral data of the complexes suggest a square planer geometry for Co(II) and Cu(II) but Fe(III) octahedral geometry and Ni(II) tetrahedral geometry around the central metal i

Show MoreThis study develops a systematic density functional theory alongside on-site Coulomb interaction correction (DFT + U) and ab initio atomistic thermodynamics approachs for ternary (or mixed transitional metal oxides), expressed in three reservoirs. As a case study, among notable multiple metal oxides, synthesized CoCu2O3 exhibits favourable properties towards applications in solar, thermal and catalytic processes. This progressive contribution applies DFT + U and atomistic thermodynamic approaches to examine the structure and relative stability of CoCu2O3 surfaces. Adiabatic tapers are designed to couple the light between the plasmonic phase shifter, implemented in each of the MZS arms, and the 3-dB input/output directional couplers. For 6 µm-long hybrid plasmonic waveguide supported by JRD1 polymer (r33= 390 pm/V), a π-phase shift voltage of 2 V is obtained. The switch is designed for 1550 nm operation wavelength using COMSOL software and characterizes by 2.3 dB insertion loss, 9.9 fJ/bit power consumption, and 640 GHz operation bandwidth
Diazotization reaction between 1-(2,4,6-trihydroxy-phenyl)-ethanone and diazonium salts produced the ligand 4-(3-Acetyl-2,4,6-trihydroxy-phenylazo)-N-(5-methyl-isoxazol-3-yl)- benzenesulfonamide, which in turn reacted with the metal ions (Ni2+, Zn2+, Pd2+ and Pt4+) forming stable complexes with Octahedral geometry suggest of (Ni2+ and Pt4+), Zn2+ complex Tetrahedral and Pd2+ complex Square planer. The creation of such complexes was detected by employing spectroscopic means involving ultraviolet-visible, which proved the obtained geometries; FT-IR confirmed the formation of the azo group and the coordination with metal ions through it. Thermogravimetric analysis studies demonstrated the coordination of water residues (aqua or hydrate) with m

Fundamentally, 4-chloro-6-nitro-2-amino-1,3-benzothiazole 1 was synthesized via bromination of 2-chloro-4-nitro aniline with ammonium thiocyanate. This new heterocyclic haloorganoamino-1,3-benzothiazole derivative, was a starting material, which condensed and tethered with three different aromatic aldehyde pendant arm in presence of ethanol and glacial acetic acid isolating an interesting sequence of tridentate Schiff bases 2-4. These compounds were used for complexation reactions in 1:1 (metal: ligand) stoichiometry to obtain heteroleptic Al(III), Ni (II) and K(I) benzothiazole chelat
