This study investigated a novel application of forward osmosis using different types of draw solutions for oilfield produced water treatment from the East Baghdad oilfield affiliated to the Midland Oil Company (Iraq). Magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) were used as draw solutions in forward osmosis process to evaluate their effectiveness. Experiments were conducted in a laboratory scale forward osmosis system with cellulose triacetate hollow fiber membrane. In this work, sodium chloride solution was used as a feed solution with a concentration of 76 g/L (same concentration as the East Baghdad oilfield produced water) and the applied external pressure on the feed solution side was 2 bar. The impact of draw solution (DS) concentration (2.3 and 3 M) and mode of operation (batch mode and continuous mode) on the forward osmosis performance for produced water treatment were investigated on flux, recovery, feed solution concentration, and reverse salt flux. The recovery and feed solution concentration increased with increasing draw solution concentration and time, while the flux increased with increasing the draw solution concentration and decreased with time. The continuous mode of operation (t = 8 h) is more effective than the osmotic dilution mode (t = 12 h) in concentrating the feed solution. The result showed that in continuous mode with a draw solution concentration of 3 M, the feed solution was concentrated to 112.77 g/L with MgCl2 as DS at which the recovery was 29.97%, while it was concentrated to 84.89 g/L with a recovery of 10.54% with MgSO4 as DS.
The importance of social exclusion lies in the psychological problems that cause problems in social relations and mental-physical health. For this reason, the researcher set three goals for the current research: identifying the level of social exclusion among people infected with the Coronavirus. The incubation period of the virus. Social exclusion and its relationship to the duration of incubation of the disease among people infected with the Coronavirus. The result showed that the research sample does not suffer from social exclusion. The mean value for the period from
(8-14) days is the highest value followed by the period (1-7) days and the period
(14 days or more) comes at the end. There is no statistically sig

The research sample consisted of (107) male and female students out of the total number of (153) students studying during the (2017-2018) academic year, The sample therefore represents 71% of the total students. The research methodology used consisted of two parts. The first part is concerned with measuring information awareness using a multiple choice type of test related to (40) issues. The students were required to select the between (5) alternative answers for each issue. The objectives of the test and the issues used are to measure the

Show MoreUrinary tract infections are mainly caused by uropathogenic Escherichia coli, which represent a significant global issue along with the rising of antibiotic resistance and treatment challenges. The aim of this study was to evaluate ciprofloxacin efficacy as a treatment in animal models following infection with multidrug-resistant UPEC and multidrug-susceptible UPEC and to determine the nephrotoxic effect of these antibiotics on the renal cortex. Up to 76 E. coli isolates were collected from UTI patients in Baghdad province, characterized by morphological and biochemical features, and confirmed using the Vitek-2 compact system. Mice were orally infected via gastric gavage with G33 using a bacterial load of 107 cells/ml, followed by p

From that time, the greatest state was established. There was no public treasury and no public financial resources at that time. Abu Baker (God bless him) spent a lot of money to support the costs of the new mission. After Al-Hijra, the bases of establishing the Islamic state were available but it lacked administrative and financial organizing. Therefore the prophet was very keen to find Islamic system which ensures justice and availability of
