In today's world, the science of bioinformatics is developing rapidly, especially with regard to the analysis and study of biological networks. Scientists have used various nature-inspired algorithms to find protein complexes in protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks. These networks help scientists guess the molecular function of unknown proteins and show how cells work regularly. It is very common in PPI networks for a protein to participate in multiple functions and belong to many complexes, and as a result, complexes may overlap in the PPI networks. However, developing an efficient and reliable method to address the problem of detecting overlapping protein complexes remains a challenge since it is considered a complex and hard optimization problem. One of the main difficulties in identifying overlapping protein complexes is the accuracy of the partitioning results. In order to accurately identify the overlapping structure of protein complexes, this paper has proposed an overlapping complex detection algorithm termed OCDPSO-Net, which is based on PSO-Net (a well-known modified version of the particle swarm optimization algorithm). The framework of the OCDPSO-Net method consists of three main steps, including an initialization strategy, a movement strategy for each particle, and enhancing search ability in order to expand the solution space. The proposed algorithm has employed the partition density concept for measuring the partitioning quality in PPI network complexes and tried to optimize the value of this quantity by applying the line graph concept of the original graph representing the protein interaction network. The OCDPSO-Net algorithm is applied to a Collins PPI network and the obtained results are compared with different state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of precision ( ), recall ( ), and F-measure ( ). Experimental results confirm that the proposed algorithm has good clustering performance and has outperformed most of the existing recent overlapping algorithms. .
In data transmission a change in single bit in the received data may lead to miss understanding or a disaster. Each bit in the sent information has high priority especially with information such as the address of the receiver. The importance of error detection with each single change is a key issue in data transmission field.
The ordinary single parity detection method can detect odd number of errors efficiently, but fails with even number of errors. Other detection methods such as two-dimensional and checksum showed better results and failed to cope with the increasing number of errors.
Two novel methods were suggested to detect the binary bit change errors when transmitting data in a noisy media. Those methods were: 2D-Checksum me
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are emerging in various application like military, area monitoring, health monitoring, industry monitoring and many more. The challenges of the successful WSN application are the energy consumption problem. since the small, portable batteries integrated into the sensor chips cannot be re-charged easily from an economical point of view. This work focusses on prolonging the network lifetime of WSNs by reducing and balancing energy consumption during routing process from hop number point of view. In this paper, performance simulation was done between two types of protocols LEACH that uses single hop path and MODLEACH that uses multi hop path by using Intel Care i3 CPU (2.13GHz) laptop with MATLAB (R2014a). Show MoreIntroduction The Hybrid Gamma Camera (HGC) is being developed to enhance the localisation of radiopharmaceutical uptake in targeted tissues during surgical procedures such as sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy. Purpose To assess the capability of the HGC, a lymph-node-contrast (LNC) phantom was constructed for an evaluative study simulating medical scenarios of varying radioactivity concentration and SLN size. Materials and methods The phantom was constructed using two methyl methacrylate PMMA plates (8 mm thick). The SLNs were simulated by drilling circular wells of diameters ranging between 10 mm and 2.5 mm (16 wells in total) in one plate. These simulated SLNs were placed underneath scattering material with thicknesses ranging between 5 mm

Vaccination remains a critical component of brucellosis control, but there are currently no vaccines for use in humans, and no in vitro models for assessing the safety of candidate vaccines in reference to the development of bone lesions currently exist. While the effect of Brucella infection on osteoblasts has been extensively evaluated, little is known about the consequences of osteoclast infection. Murine bone marrow-derived macrophages were derived into mature osteoclasts and infected with B. abortus 2308, the vaccine strain S19, and attenuated mutants S19vjbR and B. abortus ∆virB2. While B. abortus 2308 and S19 replicated inside mature osteoclasts, the attenuated

Sixty cylindrical specimens were milled from lithium disilicate CAD/CAM blocks (IPSe.max CAD). Sixty sound human maxillary premolar teeth were decoronated to the level of peripheral dentin, then randomly divided into three groups according to the type of luting cement used for the cementation of the lithium disilicate specimens (n = 20); Group A: Glass ionomer cement (Riva Self- Cure); Group B: Adhesive resin cement (Rely X Ultimate); Group C: Self-adhesive resin cement (Rely X U200). Each group was then further subdivided into two subgroups (n=10); Subgroups AI, BI, and CI,

Our work suggests an intelligent hybrid model for assessing water quality using a water portability dataset, which was used to evaluate the water quality. The dataset contains physical and chemical features such as pH, Organic Carbon, sulfate, etc. Based on the combination of a Decision Tree Algorithm (DTA) and fuzzy logic Approaches, the findings revealed that sulfate was the most important factor in the model, with an accuracy of 1.00, followed by pH with an accuracy of 0.9667, and solids and chloramines with an accuracy of 0.95. The other parameters achieved a similar accuracy of 0.9167, showing
