Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic’s development has presented significant societal and economic challenges. The carriers of COVID-19 transmission have also been identified as asymptomatic infected people. Yet, most epidemic models do not consider their impact when accounting for the disease’s indirect transmission. This study suggested and investigated a mathematical model replicating the spread of coronavirus disease among asymptomatic infected people. A study was conducted on every aspect of the system’s solution. The equilibrium points and the basic reproduction number were computed. The endemic equilibrium point and the disease-free equilibrium point had both undergone local stability analyses. A geometric technique was used
... Show MoreFour different spectrophotometric methods are used in this study for the determination of Sulfamethoxazole and sulfanilamide drugs in pharmaceutical compounds, synthetic samples, and in their pure forms. The work comprises four chapters which are shown in the following: Chapter One: Includes a brief for Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) Absorption spectroscopy, antibacterial drugs and sulfonamides with some methods for their determination. The chapter lists two methods for optimization; univariate method and multivariate method. The later includes different types, two of these were mentioned; simplex method and design of experiment method. Chapter Two: Includes reaction of the two studied drugs with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid for diazo

Background: Squamous carcinoma accounts for majority of esophaged cancinoma Most patients with esophaged cancer are middle aged or elderly with make to female ratio 2.5:1.
Aim of study : to present a fairly representative picture of the carcinoma of esophagus in' yemen.
Patients& Methods: Seventy-six patients were treated for carcinoma of esophagus over a 5 - year period by cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon working in Sana a - Yemen. Amongst them there were thirty one men and forty-five women, with male/female ratio 1:1.45, age incidence (range 38 - 40year).
Results:. Adenocarcinoma was 65% of cases and other 35% was squamous cel! carcinoma. The major risk factors were founded chewing quat, silicon particles, thermal injur
The emergence of COVID-19 has resulted in an unprecedented escalation in different aspects of human activities, including medical education. Students and educators across academic institutions have confronted various challenges in following the guidelines of protection against the disease on one hand and accomplishing learning curricula on the other hand. In this short view, we presented our experience in implementing e-learning to the undergraduate nursing students during the present COVID-19 pandemic emphasizing the learning content, barriers, and feedback of students and educators. We hope that this view will trigger the preparedness of nursing faculties in Iraq to deal with this new modality of learning and improve it should t

The Iraqi Cancer Registry displays an obvious trend for the disease to affect younger women with advanced stages at the time of presentation. This report presents a review on the main demographic characteristics and clinicopathological parameters in Iraqi patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
Patients & Methods: The study was carried out on 721 out of a total of 5044 patients (14.3%) who complained of palpable breast lumps that were diagnosed as cancer. The procedure for tumor nuclear DNA Ploidy assessment was performed by means of Image Cytometry. Immuno-cytochemical and histochemical assays were applied for the determination of
Skin cancer is the most serious health problems in the globe because of its high occurrence compared to other types of cancer. Melanoma and non-melanoma are the two most common kinds of skin cancer. One of the most difficult problems in medical image processing is the automatic detection of skin cancer. Skin melanoma is classified as either benign or malignant based on the results of this test. Impediment due to artifacts in dermoscopic images impacts the analytic activity and decreases the precision level. In this research work, an automatic technique including segmentation and classification is proposed. Initially, pre-processing technique called DullRazor tool is used for hair removal process and semi-supervised mean-shift

Objective:The study examines the harmful effect of the nicotine which is an important component of cigarette in vitro.
Type of the study: Cross-sectional study.
Methods: Examines the harmful effect of the nicotine which is an important component of cigarette in vitro by using two types of lung cancer cell lines (H460 TP53+/+, H441 TP53-/-).
Obesity-related deaths continue to rise, and thus losing weight in overweight and obese patients is critical to prevent complications. Anredera cordifolia (Ten,) Steenis, species of succulent plant of the genus Basellaceae, is widely used in herbal medicine to decrease body weight. This study evaluated the potential benefits of Anredera cordifolia ethanol extract to reduce body weight in high-fat diet-induced obesity rat model. This was an experimental with post-test only control group design study involving 36 obese rats. They were divided into two groups: three control groups (K1, K2, K3) and three treatment groups (P1, P2, P3). All the groups were induced with high-fat diet, except K1 control group that received a standard di
