Background: Human semen contains high concentrations of fructose, zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) in bound and ionic forms for Zn and Cu. The study was conducted to assess the attitude and awareness of a sample of people regarding the indiscriminate slaughter and its effects on health and the environment compared with slaughtering  in a slaughterhouse. The sample consisted of 120 persons from six equal professional groups contacted with the butchery labour (livestock keeper, truck driver, butcher, veterinarian, shopkeeper and consumer). Objective: To evaluate male patients complaining of
urethritis clinically according to the isolated organisms.
Method: A total of 100 male patients attending to of
Dermatological and Venereal private clinics for the period
April 2003 to November 2003 were included in the study.
Urethral swab was obtained from each male for culture and
direct immunofluorescence examination was done.
Demographic data was obtained, also.
Results: N. gonorrhoea was the predominate cause of
infection in 22%. A peak of infection was reported in the
second decade of age. Highest rate reported among single

The measurements of major and trace elements in different brands of milk powder selected from the Iraqis market via the X-ray fluorescence (XRF) Technique have been studied in the present work. The lower Cretaceous sandstones of Zubair and Nahr Umr formations are the main producing reservoirs in Subba oilfield in southern Iraq. Key differences in their petrophysical and depositional attributes exist affecting their reservoir characteristics. The evaluation of well logs and core porosity-permeability data show better reservoir properties in Nahr Formation. The Litho-saturation logs indicate greater thickness of oil-saturated reservoir units for Nahr Unr Formation associated with lower values of shale volume, and higher values of effective porosity.
