Ecological risk assessment of mercury contaminant has a means to analyze the ecological risk aspect of ecosystem using the potential impact of mercury pollution in soil, water and organism. The ecological risk assessment in a coastal area can be shown by mangrove zonation, clustering and interpolation of mercury accumulation. In this study, the effects of blending the un-branched acrylate polymer known as Poly (n-decyl acrylate), and the branched acrylate polymer known as Poly (iso-octyl acrylate), on the viscosity index (VI), and the pour point of the Iraqi base stocks 40, and 60 respectively, were investigated. Feature selection algorithms play a big role in machine learning applications. There are several feature selection strategies based on metaheuristic algorithms. In this paper a feature selection strategy based on Modified Artificial Immune System (MAIS) has been proposed. The proposed algorithm exploits the advantages of Artificial Immune System AIS to increase the performance and randomization of features. The experimental results based on NSL-KDD dataset, have showed increasing in performance of accuracy compared with other feature selection algorithms (best first search, correlation and information gain).
