The study aims to enrich the information of planners, policymakers, and water resources managers for planning and operating dams. This research aims to address the following question: What are the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the construction and operation of dams on the environment and society? The study assumes that good management is the ideal solution to solve the problems of negative effects resulting from the construction and operation of dams. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach in studying the positive and negative impacts of Haditha Dam and the government's role. A questionnaire was conducted for 30 specialists in urban and regional planning to find out the most important strategies for sustainable management. The questionnaire was validated and reliable to ensure the validity of the questions selected for the study. Cronbach's alpha value (α = 0.82) was good and acceptable. The study concluded the importance of involving stakeholders in the planning and decision-making process, with a survey response rate of approximately 70%. Sixty percent of respondents believe that monitoring and decision support systems represent a challenge for decision-makers in the sustainable management process. The study recommends the importance of enhancing local community participation and improving focus on sustainability mechanisms to achieve maximum benefit from dams for society. The research recommends enhancing the contribution of the local community in the decision-making process and conducting a “follow-up” to assess the environmental impact, economic returns, and social impacts resulting from the operation and construction of the dam. © (2025), (International Information and Engineering Technology Association). Background: The best material for dental implants is polyetherketoneketone (PEKK). However, this substance is neither osteoinductive nor osteoconductive, preventing direct bone apposition. Modifying the PEKK with bioactive elements like strontium hydroxyapatite is one method to overcome this (Sr-HA). Due to the technique's capacity to provide better control over the coating's properties, RF magnetron sputtering has been found to be a particularly useful technique for deposition. Materials and methods : With specific sputtering conditions, the RF magnetron technique was employed to provide a homogeneous and thin coating on Polyetherketoneketone substrates.. the coatings were characterized by Contact angle, adhesion test, X-ray

Currently, various molecular docking programs are extensively applied; therefore, realizing accuracy and performance of the various docking programs could have a significant value. In this comparative study, the performance and accuracy of three widely used non-commercial docking software (AutoDock Vina, 1-Click Docking, and UCSF DOCK) was evaluated through investigations of the predicted binding affinity and binding conformation of the same set of small molecules (HIV-1 protease inhibitors) and a protein target HIV-1 protease enzy

In the presence of such dynamic excitation with higher levels of nonlinearity and coupling effect of temperature and humidity, the HVAC system transitions from underdamped to overdamped indoor conditions. This led to the promotion of highly inefficient energy use and fluctuating indoor thermal comfort. To address these concerns, this study develops a novel framework based on deep clustering of lagrangian trajectories for multi-task learning (DCLTML) and adding a pre-cooling coil in the air handling unit (AHU) to alleviate a coupling issue. The proposed DCLTML exhibits great overall control and is

Cinnamon is a herbal substance, which has many applications in medicine. AIM: The aim of the study was to study the effect of cinnamon on patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome. METHODS: Sixty patients with documented CP/CPPS randomized into two groups during 2018 and 2019 in Baghdad. The first group received 60 capsules each contained 1 g of cinnamon. The other group received 60 capsules each contained 1 g of sugar powder (placebo). All the patients instructed to take one capsule twice daily for 1 month. National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) was reported for bot

A total of 90 patients who had perforated peptic ulcer participated in this study. The diagnosis was based on history, clinical examination, laboratory and radiological investigations and was confirmed intraoperatively. A number of probable risk factors for perforation were investigated. Eighty participants were males and 10 were females (male to female ratio 8:1). About 42.2% of patients were in their fifth decade of life. Forty-nine (54.4%) patients were asymptomatic be

Background: Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disorder that has an impact on general health, dental health and salivary composition. The mineralization of teeth happens simultaneously with that of the skeleton, but if mineral metabolism is disrupted, tooth failures will resemble those that affect bone tissue. Vitamin D plays a key role in bone and tooth mineralization.
Objective: to evaluate the impact of osteoporosis on teeth decay in relation to salivary vitamin D among menopause in Baghdad city.
Subjects and Methods: This study was cross sectional study. The study group consists of
