A number of aqueous samples were collected from river Tigris in Baghdad city, enriched ~1000 times using solid phase extraction (SPE), then extracted the trace concentrations of some polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) using an aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) composed of 1Methylpyridinium chloride [MePy]Cl and KH2PO4 salt. High performance liquid chromatography technique coupled with ultraviolet (HPLC-UV) is used for the quantification. Extraction under the optimized conditions of pH, solvent composition, duration and temperature has given with a yield of PCB about 91%. Also, we define  asymptotically  non-expansive  mappings  in  the  setting  of  2-normed  spaces analogous  to  asymptotically non-expansive mappings  in  usual  normed spaces. And then prove the existence of fixed points for this type of mappings in 2-Banach spaces.

The study aimed to identify career engagement among school principals, the researcher used descriptive approach and reached the study sample (230) school, principals. The researcher instruments used: career engagement, has been checked and face validity, and construction and consistency of the instruments using internal consistency Cronbach's alpha The study came to the following findings: - The degree of career engagement among school principals was (29.0200) this refers to a higher level, compared with the theoretical average of (27) and the study showed that the results showed no significant statistical differences between school principals in the level of career engagement due to the variable sex.

In this study asparaginase was extracted from fruit part of Capiscum annum then Asparaginase activity was detected and optimised. Optimum conditions for the activity of crude asparaginase were studied. Results showed maximum activity of asparaginase was achieved 140 u/ml when the enzyme was incubated with 200 mM of asparagines at 35 °C for 30 minutes in the presence of 0.05 M of potassium phosphate buffer solution at pH 8.

Measurements of radon gas concentrations were carried out for 12 soil samples at 3 sampling depths (surface, 5 cm and 10 cm) collected from (4) locations in south Baghdad suburbs (Bu'aitha) using solid state nuclear track detector CR-39 and sealed can technique.
