This experiment was performed to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation with flax seed on the egg quality of laying quail. A total of 320 Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) wk old were allocated to 4 treatment groups with 4 replicates containing 20 quail each. Birds were fed a commercial diet containing 0% (C), 2% (T1), 4% (T2), or 6% (T3) flax seed. Birds received water and diet ad libitum during the total period of the experiment. Egg quality characteristics were monitored over 3 consecutive 21-day periods. Egg quality criteria involved in this experiment involved egg weight, yolk diameter, yolk height, yolk weight, albumen height, albumen weight, shell weight, shell thickness, Haugh unit, albumen percentage, yolk percentage and shell percentage. Results showed that supplementing diet of laying quail with flax seed resulted in significant increase in total means of egg weight, yolk diameter, albumen height, shell thickness, unit, albumen percentage, and albumen weight. Total means of shell weight and yolk percentage were not significantly (p > 0.05) different from quails consuming 0, 2, 4 or 6 % flax seed; However, total shell percentage was reduced (p < 0.05) in laying quails fed flax seed when compared to the control group. In conclusion, Feeding laying quails with different levels of flax seed (2%), 4 %, or 6 % caused significant improvement as regards most of egg quality parameters included in this experiment. Therefore, adding flax seed to the ration could be used as a good tool for improving productive performance of Japanese quail.
The current study has beenconduced to evaluate the effect of extracted crude terpens at the concentrations of 6,8% of seeds of Eucalyptuscamaldulensison the 4th larval instar oftheCallosobruchusmaculates and the percentage of the cowpea seed germination.The Results showed that the terpens extract of the concentration of 8% increases the mortality rate of the fourth larval instar and it reach to 63.3%, and then decrease of to 26.6,20% at concentration of 6%and forcontrol treatment respectively The percentage of adult emergence reduces to 0% at the concentration of 8% compared with control treatment in which it reach to 66.6%. The present study provides a new insight into valuable information on the diverse structure of the Anisakid population and discusses the limited species richness in the Nemipterus japonicus (Bloch,1791) (Perciformes, Nemiperidae). The fishing area consists of various locations in the Arabian Gulf (29°58 0 33 00 N48°28 0 20 E). A total of 315 marine fish were examined, (n=287) were infected. In this study, the potential of adsorption of amoxicillin antibiotic (AMOX) from aqueous solutions using prepared activated carbon (AC) was studied. Many new heterocyclic compounds including 4-thiazolidinones containing indole with triazole units were described. The new Schiff bases [VII] a, b and [VIII] a, b synthesized by condensation acid hydrazides [II],[VI] with different (aromatic) aldehydes in absolute ethanol. Waste materials might be utilized in various applications, such as sustainable roller compacted concrete pavements (RCCP), to lessen the negative environmental consequences of construction waste. The impacts of utilizing (brick, thermostone, granite, and ceramic) powders on the mechanical characteristics of RCCP are investigated in this study.
