Effect of gold nanoparticles synthesis by plasma jet scheme on normal cell lines
...Show More Authors

New evidence on nanotechnology has shown interest in the creation and assessment of nanoparticles for cancer treatment. Worldwide, a wide range of tumor-targeted approaches are being developed to reduce side effects and boost the efficacy of cancer therapy. One strategy that shows promise is the use of metallic nanoparticles to increase the radio sensitization of the cancer cells while reducing or maintaining the normal tissue complication probability during radiation therapy. In this study, atmospheric plasma was created using argon gas to create Au NPs using the plasma jet scheme, and their ability to induce apoptosis as an anticancer mechanism was tested. Aqueous gold tetrachloride salts (HAuCl4·3H2O) ere used to produce gold nanoparticles. For conformations, various techniques were used to explore the characterization of Au NPs, included UV–Vis spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM),). UV–vis spectroscopy showed a maximum absorption peak located between 520 and 530 nm. The peaks of XRD 2θ are observed at 38.8°, 44.47°, 64.4° and 77.17°. They correspond to the 111, 200, 220 and 311 crystalline levels respectively. The peak intensity (111) at 38.8° diffraction was maximum peak. the image of FESEM showed that the Au NPs which produced are irregularly shaped spheres with sizes ranging between 41-46 nm. The effect of nanoparticles on REF normal cell lines was studied to calculate cytotoxicity and the greatest rate of destruction of REF normal cell lines was 22.667% after incubation time 72 hour after exposure to the combination of irradiated gold nanoparticles-cisplatin with 50 Gray photon X-ray and 1 µg of cisplatin and the minimum was 0.7% after incubation time 24 hour after exposure to the combination of irradiated gold nanoparticles-cisplatin with 0.5 Gray photon x-ray and 0.025 µg of cisplatin. Its possible to enhance chemotherapy treatment by these nanoparticles, In the future these techniques will be possible to use for kill cancer cells, especially after showed low toxicity on normal cells.

Premiums and compensations and their impact on the financial solvency of insurance companies: applied research in the Iraqi General Insurance Company
...Show More Authors

The collected premiums and the compensations paid are among the main variables that have a prominent role in determining the level of financial solvency of insurance companies, as the higher the financial solvency of the insurance company, the more attractive it is to the target audience to acquire the company's insurance services.

Hence the importance of the issue of the solvency of insurance companies, as it is one of the critical matters on which the effectiveness of the insurance company and its continuation in the labor market depend.

In this research, we try to clarify the role of collected premiums and compensations paid in determining the level of operational solvency of t

‏The speech delivered by political blocs and parties and broadcasted by satellite channels, social and communication media has different ideologies and orientations: moderate speech calling for calm or one raising crises.‏The latter is considered very challenging due to its local and international reference.‏, this paper aims at uncovering these challenges especially during the political crisis witnessed in Iraq. This paper sheds light on the most important crisis that spread in public opinion, broadcasted by satellite, and raised by politicians who are competing to gain authority leading to a lack of peoples, confidence in them.‏This matter should not be neglected at all; e

Design and Implementation of a Generalized N-Digit Binary-To-Decimal Converter on an FPGA Seven-Segment Display Using Verilog Hdl
...Show More Authors

It is often needed to have circuits that can display the decimal representation of a binary number and specifically in this paper on a 7-segment display. In this paper a circuit that can display the decimal equivalent of an n-bit binary number is designed and it’s behavior is described using Verilog Hardware Descriptive Language (HDL).
This HDL program is then used to configure an FPGA to implement the designed circuit.

Unstable Angina /Non ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction: Frequency of Conventional Risk Factors; TIMI Risk Score, and Their Impact On Angiographic Data
...Show More Authors

Background: Appreciation of the crucial role of risk factors in the development of coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the most significant advances in the understanding of this important disease. Extensive epidemiological research has established cigarette smoking, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension as independent risk factors for CADObjective: To determine the prevalence of the 4 conventional risk factors(cigarette smoking, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension) among patients with CAD and to determine the correlation of Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) risk score with the extent of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with unstable angina /non ST elevation myocardial infarction (UA/NSTEMI).Methods: We

The Effects of Chronic Cigarette Smoking on the Right Ventricular Functions in Healthy Young Male Subjects: A Speckle Tracking Echocardiographic Study
...Show More Authors

Background: Chronic cigarette smoking is one of the major risk factors for coronary artery disease. However, it has additional cardiac adverse effects independent of coronary atherosclerosis. Patient and Methods: After informed consent and perm- ission from the review board of the hospital, 80 healthy subjects who were classified as smokers or non-smokers were included in the study. They were examined by standard echocardiography protocol which was followed by two-dimensional speckle tracking to assess the functions of the right ventricle. Results: The tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) was significantly reduced in smokers as compared to non-smokers (P < 0.05). The tricuspid flow peak late diastolic velocity (A wave) was sig

Higher education is important because it creates and develops human capital and provides qualified human cadres, which requires restructuring government spending so that an increase in funding allocated to education is brought about. During the period 1990-2020, government spending was weak on educational institutions in Iraq, which led to a decline in The role of these institutions in the economic development of the country. The highest percentage of spending on higher education of GDP was 0.47% in 2007 and the lowest was 0.01% in 2005. The number of public universities reached 35, and the number of private universities and colleges reached 64 universities and private colleges in 2020. This was accompanied by an increase in the number of s

Abstract:  Two different shapes of offset optical fiber was studied based on coreless fiber for refractive index (RI)/concentration (con.) measurement, and compare them. These shapes are U and S-shapes, both shapes structures were formed by one segment of coreless fiber (CF) was joined between two single mode (SMF) lead in /lead out with the same displacement (12.268µm) at both sides, the results shows the high sensitive was achieved in a novel S-shape equal 98.768nm/RIU, to our knowledge, no one has ever mentioned or experienced it, it’s the best shape rather than the U-shape which equal 85.628nm/RIU. In this research, it was proved that the offset form has a significant effect on the sensitivity of the sensor. Addi

Single mode optical fiber sensor based on surface plasmon resonance for the detection of the oil aging for the electrical transformers
...Show More Authors

This work presents a novel technique for the detection of oil aging in electrical transformers using a single mode optical fiber sensor based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The aging of insulating oil is a critical issue in the maintenance and performance of electrical transformers, as it can lead to reduce insulation properties, increase risk of electrical breakdown, and decrease operational lifespan. Many parameters are calculated in this study in order to examine the efficiency of this sensor like sensitivity (S), signal to noise ratio (SNR), resolution (refractive index unit) and figure of merit (FOM) and the values are for figure of merit is 11.05, the signal to noise ratio is 20.3, the sensitivity is 6.63, and the resolution is 3
