Although Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is broadly invested in joining aluminum alloys, welding T-joint configurations display revealing challenges due to the interface’s intricate material flow and stress development. Defect formation, including voids and lack of fusion, as well as sudden response forces and residual stresses, can substantially undermine joint performance. This study presents an innovative three-dimensional finite element model to predict the coupled thermomechanical conditions experienced during the friction stir welding (FSW) of AA 6061-T6 lap T-joint design. The study identifies the geometrical parameters of the FSW tool, including shoulder and pin diameters, as well as pin form (cylindrical and tapered), as critical variables affecting thermal and mechanical outcomes. Three distinct tool geometries (T1, T2, T3) were evaluated to achieve the objectives of the current mission of FSW of the AA6061 lap T-joint. This work employs the Coupled Eulerian–Lagrangian (CEL) finite element modality to anticipate and analyze factors influencing the service life of the friction stir welded T-joint. Temperature, plastic strain, von Mises stress, defect type, and force feedback on the tool generated over the fabrication of the T-joint structure were recorded and studied. Alongside thermocouples, infrared cameras were employed to assess the temperature history to validate numerical results, and macrostructural micrographs were produced to identify the type of voids. The findings indicated that the CEL finite element model overestimates the temperature by a maximum of 7% for the T3 tool shape. The plastic strain was more pronounced on the advancing side than on the retreating side. The von Mises stress exhibited an M-shaped distribution, reaching a maximum value of 70 MPa for the T2 tool. The CEL model demonstrated notable ability in capturing the sort of void produced by three distinct tools.
A field experiment was conducted in the growth season 2019-2020 at the botanical garden of the Biology Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences/Ibn Al-Haitham, University of Baghdad-Iraq. The experiments’ purpose is to determine the effects of different melatonin concentrations on some morphological and physiological characteristics of mung (Vigna radiata L.) plant under the influence of three periods of drought (5, 10, 15 days). The results were showed that the increasing of water stress periods had significant effects in the reducing rates of the studied characteristics, especially at the period 15 days. The external treatment of different concentrations of melatonin reduced the drought effects and that’s led to signif

Despite the universal complexity of translating political jargon, adopting literal translation introduces an added layer of intricacy. The primary aim of literal translation is to maintain faithfulness to the original text, irrespective of whether it is in English or Arabic. However, this method presents several challenges within the linguistic and cultural dimensions. Drawing upon scholarly sources, this article expounds upon the multifaceted issues that emerge from the verbatim translation of political terms from English into Arabic. These problems include political culture, language differenc

A total of 20 volleyball players of Baghdad participated in this study. The sample was homogeneous in terms of height, weight and age of the players. The tests used in the present study were: 1) Visual Spatial Attention Test. 2) Volleyball Spike Test. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that visual spatial attention has a significant impact on the accuracy of the diagonal spike in volleyball.
The research aims to determine the impact of Human Resources Accounting (HRA) on employee’s performance. The research’s problem was embodied in the lack of interest in HRA, which was reflected on the performance of employees in the Ministry of Education; the research adopted the descriptive-analytical approach, and the research community included the directors of departments and people at the headquarters of the Ministry of Education. The sample size was (224) individuals from the total community of 533. The questionnaire was adopted as the main tool for collecting data and information, as well as the interviews that were conducted by the researcher. In order to analyze t

. Maximum Likelihood, Percentile and Ordinary Least Square estimators had been implemented for different sample sizes (small, medium, and large) and assumed several contrasts initial values for the two parameters. Two indicators of performance Mean Square Error and Mean Percentile Error were used and the comparisons were carried out between different methods of estimation by using monte carlo simulation technique .. In the present work the performance of semifluidized bed adsorber was evaluated for removal of phenolic compound from wastewater using commercial activated carbon as adsorbent. P-chlorophenol (4-Chlorophenol) and o-cresol (2-methylphenol) was selected as a phenolic compound for that purpose. The phenols percent removal, in term of breakthrough curves were studied as affected by hydrodynamics limitations which include minimum and maximum semifluidization velocities and packed bed formation in the column by varying various parameters such as inlet liquid superficial velocity (from Uminsf to 8Uminsf m/s), and retaining grid (sometimes referred to as adsorbent loading) to initial static bed height ratio (from 3-4.5). Performance evaluation is of great importance in all countries of the world, because it has a prominent and effective role in determining the efficiency and effectiveness of the optimal use of available resources, which are rare and important in achieving the desired objectives. With the continued growth of public spending and the limited resources, the State seeks to achieve its objectives through its units with minimal expenditure or deficit, rationality and wastefulness in the spending. In many countries, particularly developing countries, reforms are made in the public sector to achieve that goal through the adoption of IPSAS, which is reflected in the developmen
