This study was aimed to determine a phytotoxicity experiment with kerosene as a model of a total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPHs) as Kerosene pollutant at different concentrations (1% and 6%) with aeration rate (0 and 1 L/min) and retention time (7, 14, 21, 28 and 42 days), was carried out in a subsurface flow system (SSF) on the Barley wetland. An investigation was conducted to study the concentration of hydrogen peroxide by vacuum distillation. The effect of the process variables (such as vacuum pressure, reflux ratio, time of distillation, and packing height of the column used in the distillation process) on the concentration of hydrogen peroxide were investigated. During the third stage of distillation (95 wt.%) concentration was obtained.

Amiodarone hydrochloride (AH) has been determined spectrophotometrically Using methyl orange (MO).  In our previous researches MO was used for determination of Mexiletine Hydrochloride [1]. The method based on complexation between MO and AH.  After shaking and diluting the complex solution with D.W, the pH was adjusted with NaOH and HCl to pH 3. The colored complex formed between AH and the reagent were transferred into separating funnels and extracted using 5.5ml CH2Cl2 and were shaken for (5 minutes).  The extracted organic layer was used for preparation of the calibration curves for spectrophotometric measurements of AH at 434nm.  The blanks were carried out in exactly the same way throughout the whole procedure.&n

In the current review, an updated list of dark beetle species (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) recorded in Iraq was given. The current paper is based on previous studies in the literature and contains all dark beetles referred to in Iraq, except for the species within the Pimelinae subfamily. The investigation of this review showed the presence of 89 species belonging to 34 genera within five subfamilies. This work included mentioning the basionyms and synonyms for genera and species with their global distribution, as well as, correcting the scientific names that were mentioned in the previous checklists.
