Evaluation of antidiabetic activity of zinc oxide and chromium oxide nanoparticles alone or in combination on the pancreas of alloxan-induced diabetes mellitus in male albino mice (Mus musculus)
...Show More Authors

Zinc is an essential element for the body; it is involved in many enzymes and has a role in many physiological processes; glucose metabolism stands ahead of them. Also, chromium has been used recently as a food supplement in regime systems, So it's essential to evaluate the effects of these two elements in a diabetic state and evaluate their antidiabetic ability. Seventy male adult mice were used and grouped into seven groups. Group 1: received no treatment. Group 2 received 10mg/kg body weight daily orally of ZnONPs for a month. Group 3 received 1mg/kg body weight for a month daily oral of CrO3NPs. Group 4: received a single dose of 150mg/kg body weight of alloxan. Group 5 received a single alloxan dose of 150 mg/kg and daily oral 10 mg/kg body weight of ZnONPs for a month. Group 6: received a single alloxan dose of 150 mg/kg and 1mg/kg body weight for a month daily oral Cr2O3NPs. Group: received single alloxan dose 150mg/kg and 1mg/kg body weight for month daily oral of Cr2O3NPs and 10 mg/kg body weight of ZnONPs for month. Explained that there is a significant decrease in fasting blood glucose and HbAlc and a substantial increase in insulin and C-peptide levels compared with diabetic group in diabetic groups treated with one or both nanoparticle types. Histological results exhibited better diabetic degeneration effects enhancement in all diabetic groups treated with one or both nanoparticle types. In conclusion, ZnONPs and CrO3NPs exhibit a synergistic effect on diabetes improvement, and they restore the degenerated insulin-producing cells of Langerhans Islets, giving improvement parameters better than they used alone.

The present study aimed to investigate the histological, enzyme histochemical changes and liver function effects of Maxxthor insecticide on albino rats in liver. The experiment included 20 rat which were divided into four groups, the first group 5 rats were considered the control animals and the others were divided equally into three groups with a dose of 0.01, 0.1and 1 mg / kg of body weight, respectively for a period 40 days. The animals given each 48 hours via oral route Maxxthor by tube dosage after dissolved with distilled water. The effect of Aluminum Oxide, Iron Oxide on the thermal conductivity of (Epoxy-Aluminum Oxide, Epoxy-Iron Oxide) Composites
...Show More Authors

Thermal conductivity for epoxy composites filled with Al2O3 and Fe2O3 are
calculated, it found that increasing the weight ratio of Al2O3 and Fe2O3 lead to
increase in the values of thermal conductivity, but the epoxy composite filled with
Fe2O3, have values of thermal conductivity less than for epoxy composite filled with
Al2O3, for the same weight ratio. Also thermal conductivity calculated for epoxy
composites by contact to every two specimens (like sandwich) content same weight
ratio of alumina-oxide and ferrite-oxide, its found that the value of thermal
conductivity lays between the values of epoxy filled Al2O3 and of epoxy filled Fe2O3

The Morphological and Histopathological Liver Abnormalities Caused by Carbamazepine-Induced Injury in Female Albino Mice
...Show More Authors

Background: The adverse effects of drugs can damage various organs, especially the liver, leading to a hepatic injury known as hepatotoxicity. Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is challenging nowadays because of the large number of different drugs used, one of the offending medications that cause DILI is carbamazepine (CBZ), since the liver has an array of functions including detoxification, it will deal with several damages caused by exposure to the drugs. Objective: investigate the effect of (CBZ) 20mg/kg/day on female mice liver after 14 and 30 days of treatment on morphological and histopathological levels. Materials and Methods: 20mg/kg/day of CBZ was administered orally for (14) days to (10) female mice, another (10) mice were taking t

ABSTRACT<p> Antimicrobial therapies are desperately needed since the threat posed by multidrug‐resistant (MDR) bacteria only grows. Bacteriocins produced by Streptococcus salivarius possess promising antibacterial properties, yet their practical application is hindered by low production yield and limited stability. Here, we report the green synthesis of a novel biohybrid by conjugating purified S. salivarius bacteriocins with zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs), aiming to enhance bacteriocin stability and antimicrobial efficacy. The effect of different doses levels of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on the kidney and liver in Albino male Rat. Histopathological study
...Show More Authors

Objective: In this study ,the effects of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs)were investigated on the liver and kidney tissues. Methodology: The produced nanoparticles have an average particle size of about 30 nm. Eighteen male albino rats were used by dividing them into three groups, each group comprise 6 rats. First group(control group) given food and water like other groups by liberty. Second group was tail injected by (AgNPs) at dose of (0.4 mg/kg. body weight/day). Third group was injected by (AgNPs) at dose of (0.6 mg/kg. body weight/day) for 15 days. All animals were sacrified at the end of experiment. The liver and kidney tissues specimens were fixed in 10% formalin and histological preparations were carried out then stained with H&E. Path

Effect of Alcoholic Catechin Extract on Hyperglycemia, Hyperlipidemia and Liver Functions in Alloxan Diabetic Mice
...Show More Authors

The objective of this study is to estimate the effect of the hydro-ethanolic catechin extract toward blood glucose, lipid profile and liver functions in alloxan diabetic mice. 50 healthy mice (25-30 g) were divided into five groups of ten animals for each. Group A received normal saline as normal control group. To induce diabetes, alloxan (150 mg/kg), intraperitoneal (i.p.) single dose was injected to groups B, C, D and E. Group B represents diabetic control group. Groups C, D and E received ethanolic catechin extract (30 mg/kg and 40 mg/kg) for different periods of 1, 2 and 3 weeks as treated groups. Blood glucose, serum lipids [Total Cholesterol (TC), Triglycerides (TGs) and High Density Lipoproteins (HDL)], asparagine transaminase (AST),
