Evaluation of DDoS attacks Detection in a New Intrusion Dataset Based on Classification Algorithms
...Show More Authors

Intrusion detection system is an imperative role in increasing security and decreasing the harm of the computer security system and information system when using of network. It observes different events in a network or system to decide occurring an intrusion or not and it is used to make strategic decision, security purposes and analyzing directions. This paper describes host based intrusion detection system architecture for DDoS attack, which intelligently detects the intrusion periodically and dynamically by evaluating the intruder group respective to the present node with its neighbors. We analyze a dependable dataset named CICIDS 2017 that contains benign and DDoS attack network flows, which meets certifiable criteria and is openly accessible. It evaluates the performance of a complete arrangement of machine learning algorithms and network traffic features to indicate the best features for detecting the assured attack classes. Our goal is storing the address of destination IP that is utilized to detect an intruder by method of misuse detection.

Fabrication of a Chemical Sensor Based on Surface Plasmon Resonance via Plastic Optical Fiber
...Show More Authors

In this work, a chemical optical fiber sensor based on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) was designed and implemented using plastic optical fiber. The sensor is used for estimating refractive indices and concentrations of various chemical materials (methanol, distilled water, ethanol, kerosene) as well as for evaluating the performance parameters such as sensitivity, signal to noise ratio, resolution and the figure of merit of the fabricated sensor. It was found that the value of the sensitivity of the optical fiber-based SPR sensor, with 40 nm thick and 10 mm long Au metal film of exposed sensing region, was 3μm/RIU, while the SNR was 0.24, the figure of merit was 20, and the resolution was 0.00066. The sort of optical fiber utilized i

Evaluation of the effect of preheating on micro leakage of Class II composites Restoration (A comparative in vitro study)
...Show More Authors

Background: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the effect of preheating microleakage among three different filler size composites which include Filtektm Z250 micro hybrid, Z250xt Nano hybrid and nanocomposite Z350xt.  in Class II cavity preparation .

Materials and methods: sixty maxillary first premolars were prepared with class II cavities. Samples were divided into three groups according to material used    group A (FiltekZ250 micro hybrid). Group B(Z250xt Nano hybrid). Group C (nanocomposite Z350xt)and each group divided into two subgroups of ten teeth according to temperature of  composite:

A New Design of Fractal Optical Modulation
...Show More Authors

In this paper it was designed a new fractal optical modulation by using a new iteration of fractal function, the result was analyzed by MTF evaluation, and it compared with results of normal optical modulation.

The normal and fractal optical modulator is a circular disc which has a radius R=9cm, both of them consist of twenty sectors, ten sectors are opaque and the other ten sectors are transmitted for the light.

The fractal optical modulator contains two patterns, the pattern two can be used to detect the target, and pattern one can be used to lock the target

The best similarity of MTF behavior for normal and fractal Reticle was evaluating the power transparent depends on the size o

Assessment of Causality, Severity and Seriousness of Adverse Event Following Immunization in Iraq: A Retrospective Study Based on Iraqi
...Show More Authors

Immunization is one of the most cost-effective and successful public health applications. The results of immunization are difficult to see as the incidence of disease occurrence is low while adverse effects following the immunization are noticeable, particularly if the vaccine was given to apparently healthy person. High safety expectations of population regarding the vaccines so they are more prone to hesitancy regarding presence of even small risk of adverse events which may lead to loss of pub

Changes in the EEG amplitude as a biomarker for early detection of Alzheimer's disease
...Show More Authors

The rapid increase in the number of older people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other forms of dementia represents one of the major challenges to the health and social care systems. Early detection of AD makes it possible for patients to access appropriate services and to benefit from new treatments and therapies, as and when they become available. The onset of AD starts many years before the clinical symptoms become clear. A biomarker that can measure the brain changes in this period would be useful for early diagnosis of AD. Potentially, the electroencephalogram (EEG) can play a valuable role in early detection of AD. Damage in the brain due to AD leads to changes in the information processing activity of the brain and the EEG which ca

Noise Removal of ECG Signal Using Recursive Least Square Algorithms
...Show More Authors

This paper shows an approach for Electromyography (ECG) signal processing based on linear and nonlinear adaptive filtering using Recursive Least Square (RLS) algorithm to remove two kinds of noise that affected the ECG signal. These are the High Frequency Noise (HFN) and Low Frequency Noise (LFN). Simulation is performed in Matlab. The ECG, HFN and LFN signals used in this study were downloaded from ftp://ftp.ieee.org/uploads/press/rangayyan/, and then the filtering process was obtained by using adaptive finite impulse response (FIR) that illustrated better results than infinite impulse response (IIR) filters did.

Enhancement of System Security by Using LSB and RSA Algorithms
...Show More Authors

A steganography hides information within other information, such as file, message, picture, or video. A cryptography is the science of converting the information from a readable form to an unreadable form for unauthorized person. The main problem in the stenographic system is embedding in cover-data without providing information that would facilitate its removal. In this research, a method for embedding data into images is suggested which employs least significant bit Steganography (LSB) and ciphering (RSA algorithm) to protect the data. System security will be enhanced by this collaboration between steganography and cryptography.
