The clutch system is essential for gently transmitting power from the engine to the gearbox, in addition to other tasks such as absorbing vibration, inertia reducing, and working as a protector against the overload for the motor and the components of power transmission. A new approach is developed for this research paper, to find a dry clutch system’s optimal design and operational parameters to improve performance and thermal behavior. Three design factors were selected to design the numerical tests based on the Taguchi method which are the friction material, the applied pressure function, and the dimensionless radius ratio R. A three-dimensional finite element model was developed, and the numerical cases were designed using the Taguchi matrix of (L9). The maximum surface temperature of the clutch system is considered the criterion for optimal operating conditions. Furthermore, the numerical results were statistically analyzed using Minitab 18, and an ANOVA table was displayed to show the significance and contribution of the new statistical model. In order to validate the results using the Taguchi method, it was applied the multi-criteria decision-making method (weighted product model). The results showed that the most effective parameters on the thermal behavior of the system were the dimensionless radius ratio R with 53.45% and the pressure function with 45.92%.
A comparative investigation of gas sensing properties of SnO2 doped with WO3 based on thin film and bulk forms was achieved. Thin films were deposited by thermal evaporation technique on glass substrates. Bulk sensors in the shape of pellets were prepared by pressing SnO2:WO3 powder. The polycrystalline nature of the obtained films with tetragonal structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The calculated crystalline size was 52.43 nm. Thickness of the prepared films was found 134 nm. The optical characteristics of the thin films were studied by using UV-VIS Spectrophotometer in the wavelength range 200 nm to 1100 nm, the energy band gap, extinction coefficient and refractive index of the thin film were 2.5 eV , 0.024 and 2.51, respective

Gallium and cerium oxide doped tin oxide was prepared with different doping concentrations (0, 0.03, 0.05 and 0.07) wt. pure and doped tin oxide thin films were prepared by the pulsed laser deposition technique. X-ray diffraction and UV-Visible spectrophotometer were employed to investigate both oxides doping effects. Results showed that all prepared samples have poly-crystalline structure with a preferred plane of crystal growth along (110), where the crystal size grew from 40.3 nm to 64.5 nm and to 43.5 nm for Ga2O3 and CeO2 doped tin oxide thin films, respectively. Show MoreMosquitoes like Culex quinquefasciatus are the primary vector that transmits many causes of diseases such as filariasis, Japanese encephalitis, and West Nile virus, in many countries around the world. The development in the scientific fields, such as nanotechnology, leads to use this technique in control programs of insects including mosquitoes through the use of green synthesis of nanoemulsions based on plant products such as castor oil. Castor oil nanoemulsion was formulated in various ratios comprising of castor oil, ethanol, tween 80, and deionized water by ultrasonication. Thermodynamic assay improved that the formula of (10 ml) of castor oil, ethanol (5ml), tween 80 (14 ml) and deionized water (71ml) was mor

This study deals with 3rd-order difference equations with alternating coefficients (NDEAC) with a focus on studying the oscillatory properties of their solutions. An additional sufficient condition can be derived to ensure continuity for the oscillatory solution in equations. An applied example is presented to illustrate the theoretical result obtained.
