Studying some of the optimal conditionals for the best bacterial isolates from soil and its effects on their growth rates
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The current study aimed to use some bacterial isolates from the local soil of Baghdad city by study the effects of temperature, pH and incubation period on the growth rates of isolated bacteria and choose the optimal conditions for their diversity and for understanding bacterial growth and their requirements for survival and proliferation. This information can be applied to obtain their high growth rate for use in various fields such as agriculture, medicine and environmental sciences in the future. And it used to assess the degree of variation in across bacteria species in pH, temperature and incubation period. A number of local bacterial isolates as Enterobacter cloacae, Aeromonas hydrophila, Pantoea spp., Pseudomonas mendocina and Serratia fonticola identified in this study. The growth rate of the bacterial isolates was tested by growing each bacterial isolate in a different range of pH (4, 7 and 10) and under the influence of several temperatures (52, 35 and 50) and within different incubation periods (24, 48 and 72) hours The optimal conditions were determined by measuring the optical density (absorbance) at a wavelength of 600 nm, which represents bacterial growth. The optimal conditions for E. cloacae were determined to be a pH of 10 and a temperature of 35°C after a 72hour incubation period. Similarly, A. hydrophila exhibited optimal growth at a pH of 7 and a temperature of 35°C after a 72hour incubation period. Pantoea spp. demonstrated optimal growth at a pH of 7 and a temperature of 25°C after a 24hour incubation period. P. mendocina displayed optimal growth at a pH of 7 and a temperature of 25°C after a 72hour incubation period. Lastly, S. fonticola exhibited optimal growth at a pH of 7 and a temperature of 50°C after a 72hour incubation period.</p>

Air Pollution: A Study of Its Concept, Causes, Sources and Effects
...Show More Authors

Air pollution is very important topic for those interested in studying the environment because of its importance and the damage caused by it to human, animal and plant life. This research addresses the concept of air pollution, its causes, and its danger, and sheds light on the influence of climate elements on environmental pollution and the effect of temperature, rain, humidity, wind direction and speed, and atmospheric pressure on the increase or decrease of air pollution. This research discusses the sources of air pollution, including natural ones, including dust, smoke resulting from fires, erupting volcanoes, and others, including those resulting from human uses such as the use of fuel and others. The research addressed the dam

Abstract<p>New complexes have been prepared from the new ligand [2,2′‐(5,5‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,3‐diylidene)bis(azan‐1‐yl‐1‐ylidene)dibenzoic acid] derived from 5,5‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,3‐dione and 2‐aminobenzoic acid. Accordingly, its mono and binuclear Mn(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) complexes were prepared. The prepared components have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. The thermal stability of the ligand and its complexes were performed by TGA. It was found that all the complexes have excellent thermal stability and do not contain water molecules within their structure, but the ligand has little stability. Additionally, theor</p> ... Abstract<p>Study of determining the optimal future field development has been done in a sector of South Rumaila oil field/ main pay. The aspects of net present value (economic evaluation) as objective function have been adopted in the present study.</p><p>Many different future prediction cases have been studied to determine the optimal production future scenario. The first future scenario was without water injection and the second and third with 7500 surface bbls/day and 15000 surface bbls/day water injection per well, respectively. At the beginning, the runs have been made to 2028 years, the results showed that the optimal future scenario is continuing without water in</p> ... Show More
