This paper describes a new finishing process using magnetic abrasives were newly made to finish effectively brass plate that is very difficult to be polished by the conventional machining processes. Taguchi experimental design method was adopted for evaluating the effect of the process parameters on the improvement of the surface roughness and hardness by the magnetic abrasive polishing. The process parameters are: the applied current to the inductor, the working gap between the workpiece and the inductor, the rotational speed and the volume of powder. Electron lens Optimization for Beam Physics Research using the Integrated Optics Test Accelerator

This study proposed control system that has been presented to control the electron lens resistance in order to obtain a stabilized electron lens power. This study will layout the fundamental challenges, hypothetical plan arrangements and development condition for the Integrable Optics Test Accelerator (IOTA) in progress at Fermilab. Thus, an effective automatic gain  control (AGC) unit has been introduced which prevents fluctuations in the internal resistance of the electronic lens caused by environmental influences to affect the system's current and power values ​​and keep them in stable amounts. Utilizing this unit has obtained level balanced out system un impacted with electronic lens surrounding natural varieties.

Modifications to Accelerate the Iterative Algorithm for the Single Diode Model of PV Model

This paper discussed the solution of an equivalent circuit of solar cell, where a single diode model is presented. The nonlinear equation of this model has suggested and analyzed an iterative algorithm, which work well for this equation with a suitable initial value for the iterative. The convergence of the proposed method is discussed. It is established that the algorithm has convergence of order six. The proposed algorithm is achieved with a various values of load resistance. Equation by means of equivalent circuit of a solar cell so all the determinations is achieved using Matlab in ambient temperature. The obtained results of this new method are given and the absolute errors is demonstrated.

Adaptive Canny Algorithm Using Fast Otsu Multithresholding Method

   In this research, an adaptive Canny algorithm using fast Otsu multithresholding method is presented, in which fast Otsu multithresholding method is used to calculate the optimum maximum and minimum hysteresis values and used as automatic thresholding for the fourth stage of the Canny algorithm.      The new adaptive Canny algorithm and the standard Canny algorithm (manual hysteresis value) was tested on standard image (Lena) and satellite image. The results approved the validity and accuracy of the new algorithm to find the images edges for personal and satellite images as pre-step for image segmentation.
