Background: There is controversy about the upper normal value of QRS complex amplitude in adult population under the age of 40 years. Most of the left ventricular hypertrophy voltage criteria were designed or tested for people above 40 years. In addition to age, QRS amplitude is also affected by gender and racial factors.

Leaf samples of Lawsonia inermis were collected from Basrah city, South of Iraq to examine their antimicrobial activity . The effects of water and chloroform crude extracts of the leaves in different concentrations were obtained and bioassayed in vitro for its bioactivity to inhibit the growth of six types of bacteria . Subjects & methods: Analysis of 50 cases of cholestatic jaundice aged 3 weeks- 18 months were carried out over 18 months in the Gastroenterology & Hepatology unit in the Children Welfare Teaching Hospital, Medical City, and Baghdad.
