The work includes fabrication of undoped and silver-doped nanostructured nickel oxide in form thin films, which use for applications such as gas sensors. Pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) technique was used to fabricate the films on a glass substrate. The structure of films is studied by using techniques of x-ray diffraction, SEM, and EDX. Thermal annealing was performed on these films at 450°C to introduce its effect on the characteristics of these films. The films were doped with a silver element at different doping levels and both electrical and gas sensing characteristics were studied and compared to those of the undoped films. Reasonable enhancements in these characteristics were observed and attributed to the effects of thermal annealing as well as doping with silver. Gas sensing measurements were carried out using NO2 as a gaseous species to be detected. The results showed that the electrical conductivity, density as well as mobility of charge carriers, and gas sensitivity were affected by the doping level and annealing treatment.
The largest use of x-ray in medical by dentists, employers or persons that needed by patients with specific conditions, lead to higher exposure of x-ray that may cause many diseases. In the present work radiography films have been used in evaluating the efficiency of using unsaturated polyester polymer reinforced with lead oxide (PbO) as shield material for medical x-ray devices, many parameters studied like concentration and thickness that they are increasing the attenuation of x-ray in them. The results show that the attenuation of X-ray increasing with concentration of reinforced material and with thickness, and the optical density decreases with increasing concentration from 0% to 50%, we chose 30% as suitable concentration to increase

Optical properties have been measured by UV-VIS spectrophotometer, maximum transmittance about (94%) at 400 0C. Structure properties have been studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) , its shows that all films have a crystalline structure in nature and by increasing growth temperature from(350-500) 0C diffraction peaks becomes sharper and grain size has been change. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) uses to analyze the morphology of the Tine Oxides surface structure. Roughness & Root mean square for different temperature have been investigated. The r

The optical measurement shows that the Co3O4 films have a direct energy gap, and they in general increase with the increase of the thickness. The optical constants are investigated and calculated such as absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient and the dielectric constants for the wavelengths in the range (300-900) nm. The electrical conductivity (σ) and the activation energies (Ea1, Ea2) have been investigated on (Co3O4) thin films as a function of thickness. The films

They were deposited on a pre-cleaned glass using a spin-coating process and heat-treated at 473 K in vacuum. X-ray diffraction and a scanning electron microscope were used to investigate the films. XRD analysis reveals that CuPc/Alq3 composites have a polymorphic structure, with the exception of Alq3's amorphous structure, the crystallinity increases after annealing, but decreases when the concentration of Alq3 is increased. The quantity of (CuPc) rod-like structure and (Alq3) grain-lik

The absorption spectra for all the samples were recorded using UV-VIS spectrometer in order to calculate the energy gap, refractive index and others parameter . The optical energy gap was found decrease from (1.9 to 1.67) eV.
CdS Nps (inorganic material) was prepared by the chemical reaction method. ZnPc (organic material) and CdS thin films were prepared separately to compare their characterization with the hybrid BHJ blend ZnPc/CdS thin film (2ml:2ml) by spin coating technique. The structural and morphological properties of the prepared thin films have been measured by XRD and AFM respectively. The XRD pattern for both as-deposited and annealed CdS nanoparticle films shows a hexagonal structure. The crystallite size behavior of as deposited ZnPc films and annealing at 423K for 1h, 2h and 3h was approximately similar to the behavior of heat treated blended films. The grain size was measured by AFM, which decreaseds with annealing temperature for ZnPc films,

X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) technique were used to analyze the samples. XRD results showed that the structure of SiO2 thin films was amorphous for both Oven and Laser densification. FESEM and AFM images revealed that the shape of nano silica is spherical and the particle size is in nano range. The small particle size of SiO2 thin film densified by DPSS Laser was (26 nm) , while the smallest particle size of SiO2 thin film densified by Oven was (111 nm).
