Thiamethoxam is a synthetic organic insecticide belong to The most significant new class of pesticides created in the last thirty years is neonicotinoids. This study's objective was to determine the effect of thiamethoxam, lambda cyhalothrin and their combination on biochemical parameters, the levels of free radicals and enzymes activities liver of male.Forty Rats ( 150-170 g ) were used. animals Were separated into four groups, each with ten rats. The Gp1 was used as control, the Gp2 was used to study the effect of thiamethoxam for 3weeks, the Gp3 was employed to examine the impact of lambda cyhalothrin for 3 weeks and the Gp4 was used to research the impact of thiamethoxam and lambda cyhalothrin for 3 weeks. thiamethoxam and/or lambda cyhalothrin significantly decreased the activity of glutathione S-transferase, catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, and reduced glutathione content in the kidneys of rats. The protein content in the kidney tissues of rats treated with thiamethoxam and/or lambda cyhalothrin decreased. An increase in the level of urea and creatinine was also observed in the blood serum of rats treated with thiamethoxam and/or lambda cyhalothrin . The results showed clear changes in red blood cells in the liver and kidney tissues of rats treated with thiamethoxam and/or lambda cyhalothrin .
Abstract: This study was aimed to investigate the effect of two doses of pregabalin (PGB) on hormonal level and sexual activity in female albino rats. Ninety female rats with age (9-10 weeks) and weight (200±20 g) were divided into three major groups of thirty rats. First group was considered as control G1, the second G2 and third G3 groups were exposed to PGB into two doses 150, and 300 mg/kg body weight per day respectively. Each major group was divided into three subgroups (subgroup A, B, and C of each has ten rats), the treatments last for one month for subgroup A, two months for subgroup B, and three months for subgroup C. Five rats from each subgroup were placed separately into two breeding cages with two isolated males and wait

A total of twenty-four local geese, one year old, were used in this experiment. The birds were allocated into four treatment groups, consisting of six geese each. Treatment groups were: control diet (C) (free from parsley); T1: control diet + 80 g/d parsley; T2: control diet + 160 g/d parsley; and T3: control diet + 240 g/d parsley. At the end of the experiment, blood samples were obtained from all geese from the brachial vein by venipuncture. Hematological traits included in this study were red blood cells count (RBC), hemoglobin concentration (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV), mean cell

Sixteen sites of sediment were selected and distributed along Shatt Al-Arab River and the Iraqi marine environment. The samples were distributed among one station on Euphrates River before its confluence with Tigris River and Shatt Al-Arab formation, seven stations along Shatt Al-Arab River and eight stations were selected from the Iraqi marine region. All samples were collected from surface sediment in low tide time. ICP technique was used for the determination of mercury and arsenic for all samples, while cadmium and lead were measured for the same samples by using Atomic Absorption Spectrosc

It was an experimental laboratory method with a post-test randomized control group. Formulation of high-fat pellets (HFD) and physico-chemical characteristics of pellets were conducted in September 2019. This study used about 28 male Wistar white rats, two months old, and 150-200 g body weight. Rats were acclimatized for seven days, then divided into four groups: 7 rats were given a standard feed of Confeed PARS CP594 (P0), and three groups (P1, P2, P3) were given high-fat feed (HFD FII) 30 g/head/day. The result showed that the mean fat content of Formula II pell

The present study was designed to evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of aqueous extract of Camellia sinensis (Green tea) against MTX-induced liver damage in rats. A model of liver injury in rats was induced by intraperitoneal injection of 20mg/kg MTX as a single dose followed by saline and 1.25% and 2.5% aqueous extract of green tea (GTE) were orally administered 7 days prior and 5 days after MTX-intoxication as a sole source of drinking water. After killing the animals, blood samples were obtained for evaluation of serum levels of alanine and

Fatty acids, particularly omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9, play a vital role in various biological processes. As the body cannot synthesize omega-3 and omega-6, dietary sources of these fatty acids are essential. Each omega fatty acid has a distinct chemical structure, source, and function. Cisplatin (CP) treatment is known to cause acute kidney injury (AKI) due to its inflammatory effects. This study explored the renoprotective potential of omega-3-6-9 when co-ad-ministered with cisplatin in a mice model. We divided adult mice into five groups: a control group received 0.5 ml of liquid paraffin; a cisplatin-only group; two groups were treated with low (50 mg/kg) and high (100 mg/kg) doses of omega-3-6-9 plus cisplatin; and a final group rece

The adsorbents (SMC and SMC-nTiO2) were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The effects of various parameters like contact time, adsorbent weight, pH, and temperatures were examined. Three kinetic equations (pseudo-first-order (PFO), pseudo-second-order (PSO), and intra-particle diffusion) were used to evaluate the experimental kinetic of the data and the results showed that the adsorption process is in line with the PSO kinetic model. Adsorption equilibrium isotherms were modeled using La
