ABSTRACT. 4-Sulfosalicylic acid (SSA) was used as a ligand to prepare new triphenyltin and dimethyl-tin complexes by condensation with the corresponding organotin chloride salts. The complexes were identified by different techniques, such as infrared spectra (tin and proton), magnetic resonance, and elemental analyses. The 119Sn-NMR was studied to determine the prepared complexes' geometrical shape. Two methods examined the antioxidant activity of (SSA) and prepared complexes; Free radical scavenging activity (DPPH) and CUPRRAC methods. Tri and di-tin complexes gave high percentage inhibition than ligands with both methods due to tin moiety; the triphenyltin carboxylate complex was the best compared with the others. Also, antibacterial activity was assessed by using the agar ditch method against (Escherichia coli) and (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria. The complexes gave high activity in inhibition than the ligand derived. Also Triphenyltin carboxylate complex showed higher antibacterial activity than the dimethyltin complex against two types of bacteria (Escherichia coli) and (Staphylococcus aureus). The purpose of my thesis is to prepare four new ligands (L1-L4) that have been used to prepare a series of metal complexes by reacting them with metal ions: M=(Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) Where succinyl chloride was used as a raw material for the preparation of bi-dented ligands (L1-L4) by reacting it with potassium thiocyanate as a first step and then reacting with (2-aminobenzothiazole, Benzylamine, 4-aminoantipyrine, Sulfamethoxazole) respectively as a second step with the use of dry acetone as a solvent, the chemical formula of the four ligands prepared in succession: N1,N4-bis(benzo[d]thiazol-2-ylcarbamothioyl)succinamide (L1) N1,N4-bis(benzylcarbamothioyl)succinami

Starting from 4, - Dimercaptobiphenyl, a variety of phenolic Schiff bases (methylolic, etheric, epoxy) derivatives have been synthesized. All proposed structure were supported by FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR Elemental analysis all analysis were performed in center of consultation in Jordan Universty.
. New Schiff base ligand 2-((4-amino-5-(3, 4, 5-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidin2-ylimino) (phenyl)methyl)benzoic acid] = [HL] was synthesized using microwave irradiation trimethoprim and 2-benzoyl benzoic acid. Mixed ligand complexes of Mn((ІІ), Co(ІІ), Ni(ІІ), Cu(ІІ), Zn(ІІ) and Cd(ІІ) are reacted in ethanol with Schiff base ligand [HL] and 8-hydroxyquinoline [HQ] then reacted with metal salts in ethanol as a solvent in (1:1:1) ratio. The ligand [HL] is characterized by FTIR, UV-Vis, melting point, elemental microanalysis (C.H.N), 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and mass spectra. The mixed ligand complexes are characterized by infrared spectra, electronic spectra, (C.H.N), melting point, atomic absorption, molar conductance and magnetic m

Six–coordinated metal complexes were suggested for the isolated complexes of Cr+3 and Fe+3 with molecular formulas dependent on the nature of uracil and oxalic acid present. The proposed molecular structure for all complexes with their ions is octahedral geometries. The antibacterial efficiency was tested of metal salts, l
