The aim of the current study is to identify the morphological description of the tongue in mongoose (Herpestes javanicus) and its relation to the feeding pattern. A collection of 118 specimens of Iraqi phasianid birds belong to four species was examined
for haematozoa. Results show that 21.2% of them were infected with one or more of four
species of blood parasites; Haemoproteus danilewskyi, H. santosdiasi, Plasmodium sp. and
microfilaria. Haemoproteus danilewskyi is reported here for the first time in Iraq.

This research deals with the technical configuration of the beautiful visions among Bany Ahmar poets reflected through the incarnation of beautiful artistic images that manifests itself clearly in the combination of two contradictories  simultaneously.

      The main conclusion is, the Andalusian poets try to use those fictional visions in search of aesthetic pleasure and values,  through forming an image from water and fire as two prominent contradicted elements to express the impact of the heat of wine which soon vanishes when it is mixed with water. The present study aims to show the importance of ESL reading ability in acquiring English as a second language. The study involves 92 college students (males and females) from the Department of English at Nizwa College of Applied Sciences, Sultanate of Oman. They represent two groups, the foundation year students and the first year English majors. A number of tests were used to measure students’ overall proficiency in English as well as their reading ability (i.e., the ability to contribute to the main idea of the text, scanning, skimming, to derive word meanings from context, to use a dictionary to find meanings, definitions, to identify prefixes, antonyms and synonyms).
