Background The Transportation Problem (TP) is a detailed model in operations study with applications in logistics, supply chain management, and resource allocation. The classical IBFS methods including North-West Corner, Least Cost and Vogel’s Approximation have competitive computational efficiency, but they are very sensitive to the structure of the problem and usually lead to a solution that is far from the global optimum. Classic enhancement strategies like the Generalized Distribution (MODI) and Stepping-Stone (SS) approaches have low computational complexity but may fall into a local optimum quickly, which makes them ineffective in large-scale or unbalanced problems. Methods We propose the first generic hybrid algorithm, called Ester Hybrid Improvement for Transportation Problem (EHITP), which was developed with the aim of mitigating the shortcomings of traditional IBFS-based methods. To overcome the local minima problem, the proposed EHITP framework combines adaptive perturbation procedures and guided neighborhood search methodologies to broaden the solution space. Results Initial experiments on benchmark and synthetically created datasets show that EHITP obtains a much less total transportation cost relative to the classical IBFS and improved MODI/SS methods. These features lead to a more robust method, stable solutions over iterations, and convergence across a wider range of problem sizes and structures. Conclusions The findings show EHITP serves as a more reliable, scalable, and expense-effective solution to transportation issues. The balance this algorithm achieves between the quality of the solution it produces, and its computational efficiency makes it a potential candidate for real life applications in topics such as distribution chain and economic resource allocation.
The present study was conducted with a view to determine whether focal laser therapy result in visual recovery and regression of macular edema in patients with non proliferative diabetic retinopathy and maculopathy ,and whether combined focal and scatter laser therapy in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy and maculopathy results in visual recovery ,regression of macular edema and regression of the risk factors. In the present work, a frequency doubled Nd: YAG laser was used for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy. The study evaluates 41 eyes of 33 diabetic patients both with Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus IDDM, (n=16) and Non Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus NIDDM, (n=17) with diabetic retinopathy divided into two

Show MoreThis article investigates how an appropriate chaotic map (Logistic, Tent, Henon, Sine...) should be selected taking into consideration its advantages and disadvantages in regard to a picture encipherment. Does the selection of an appropriate map depend on the image properties? The proposed system shows relevant properties of the image influence in the evaluation process of the selected chaotic map. The first chapter discusses the main principles of chaos theory, its applicability to image encryption including various sorts of chaotic maps and their math. Also this research explores the factors that determine security and efficiency of such a map. Hence the approach presents practical standpoint to the extent that certain chaos maps will bec

The two researchers adopted the documentary and inductive approach to study the topic. Among the conclusions of the research: The Noble Qur'an dealt with many terms and concepts that refer to the References of making explicit knowledge available, including books, which were represented by the divine books (the Qur'an, the Torah, the Zabur and the Gospel) and their concepts (the book, the Qur'an, the guidance, the remembrance, the revelation, the light, the newspapers, the plates). Does psychological hardiness cause forgiveness? Is the relationship between the two variables a reciprocal relationship? The research sample consisted of (300) male and female students from the universities of Baghdad and Al-Mustansiriya University. To extract the psychometric properties of the two scales: forgiveness and psychological hardiness, a sample of (50) male and female students employed to repeat the test, making the six connections between the two research variables. To determine the causal relationship, The Pearson c
