Due to different styles and typologies appearing all over the world, all containing the character of privacy as the main element of human life in their dwellings. The present study aims to investigate the temporal shift in understanding privacy during the 20th and 21st centuries in Baghdadi houses, and what are the physical elements that are related to the meaning of privacy? The results indicated that privacy resembles a balanced physical treatment interrelated to social considerations planning, ranging from space designs to the details, which results in organizing the individual’s interactions with the family and then the family's interaction with others, mainly the neighbors. Each one of them has its own design and planning requirements. The results showed increased privacy features and approaching (isolation) in the contemporary Baghdadi house (after 2003) due to the change in the social nature of neighborhood members and a decreased sense of security. The research noted that there are planning indicators associated with an increased sense of privacy, such as the width of the residential street, the residential nature of the neighborhood, and the nonexistence of a neighbor across from the house.

...Show More Authors

The paper presents research results of the vibration transmitted from the steering wheel of the
tractor with a 2-wheel drive to the driver’s hands. The vibration measurements were carried out on the
tractor randomly chosen from the collage of agriculture / university of Baghdad. Before testing the
tractor was examined and adjusted following the producer’s recommendations. The vibration levels
were measured during the operation tillage at idling and at full load .The field was 3١٫٧ m above level
sea. Soil was treated at soil constant moisture (1٧-20 %) with depth of plowing (١٧ cm). During
operation the weather temperature was measured (15 C) and humidity was ( 27 % ) The vibration level

Salivary Oxidative Stress Markers in Relation to Vascular Disease Risk of Type Two Diabetes Mellitus
...Show More Authors

Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is an important complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Oxidative stress plays a major role in the development of CVD. Saliva has a diagnostic properties aiding in the detection of systemic diseases. This study aimed to assess the association between salivary oxidative stress markers and the risk of vascular disease (VD) in T2DM patients. Materials and Methods: One hundred T2DM patients and fifty apparently healthy males were enrolled in this study. Saliva sample was collected for assessment of oxidative stress markers including: lipid peroxidation plasma thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), uric acid (UA) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) levels. Arterial stiffness index (ASI

Estimation of Beta Two Microglobulins, Fetuin-A, Resistin Serum Level in Iraqi Multiple Myeloma Patients
...Show More Authors

Multiple myeloma is hematological disease produces many complications in the bone, kidney, neural and other complications. The study aims to measure serum biomolecules like fetuin-A and resistin and determined the possibility to use these biomarkers as disease predictor. blood samples were isolated from 58 patients and 24 sex and age-matched control, serum then isolated, and proper ELISA kit then used to a determined level of B2 microglobulin, resistin, and fetuin-A. The result demonstrated significant increase in   B2 microglobulin, fetuin-A and resistin in patients compare to control (1.3470.714 vs. 0.9130.253), p = 0.000, (14.00310.352 vs. 9.2594.264), p= 0.005, (1.9673.595 vs. 0.6040.622), p = 0.009, respectively. &
